In regards to the Trump claims of all will be well come April....maybe he knows that it is going to get very bad....300+ million under quarantine bad, dead people going to burn pits bad, people starving to death bad.

What is he supposed to say? Hope is the only thing he can put in front of the mob to avoid violence and destruction. If he can delay the breakdown of society, maybe the virus can over take the mob during their slumber to the point that they can be corralled before they can tear the whole county to shreds. If he can delay the panic until the fear of the virus forces the mob to cower in their homes, he may be able to actually do the greater good.

The info is out there, those not paying attention aren't the ones you want to put much effort into in the big picture. This is a form of selection for society...

Trump may be forgiven for thinking when the coup d'etat attempt, excuse me the impeachment vote failed, he would get a pass, but nope. the Marxist scum are moving in with another impeachment try over Roger Stone. Further, I held my nose and listened the whore media tonight, ABC and they are pushing the Barr does the Saturday Night Massacre thing and resigns, or gets fired, or those Democrat scums do their thing.

But no, I don't see how Trump can get caught in this "done by April," meme at all. He must knoww, or somebody should tell him, and then kick his tweeting ass till he gets it and shuts up. Next, well I'm not talking about sending in Delta and fragging Junior Emperor Li. However, Trump and the Whores at WHO, are just acting fawning and pandering, especially WHO, and it will bite them in the ass soon enough.

I will repeat: hasn't Trump figured out that when the virus prevents workers from working, and shops and factories from opening, much less producing and WHEN EVERY SINGLE MAJOR CHINESE PORT IS SHUT DOWN, doesn't he get that means a DECLINE in economic activity? What the F#%%5 doesn't he get that Foxcon isn't making I phones, or the list goes on and on.

Yep, I don't know why Trump is doing this, maybe he can't connect the idea his famous economy is going down hard from the China Effect.

I am learning patience, first from my Dad's estate, and now from the Iran war, and the China Plague and the list also goes on and on. However some of the stuff Trump is doing, like failing to admit that some 100 US soldiers took physical shock from the inbound missiles exploding, well I just don't get it.

Mark my words, gang: Trump is defined by his economy and the China Effect is going to impact his core.
Dear DD. whispers (its is Emperor Xi. Li was the ophthalmologist hero who tried to warn people.)

A Direct message? From where? While we all appreciate a heads up on subjects like this, there has been a few uncorroborated posts which don't help in our reputation of being a factual forum. If you can find a confirming link, it would be appreciated.
I think that 'direct message' means someone he knows personally, told him in person or by phone that this is happening. Meaning, there will be no link to post.

I bet the owners of Major League Baseball must be shaking their heads right now. Don't know how their finances are structured, but the kings of the NFL get their cut of the enormous TV revenue whether a single body ever buys a ticket. It's what enables mike brown to keep misrunning the Bengals into the ground...

Them sweaty fellas runnin' up an down a basketball court, wi' folks cheek ta' jowl watchin', ain't free from th' danger o' th' virus... In fact, they's more in danger, than those watchin' baseball, rugby, soccer, 're football... Them seats is further apart, an' th' stadiums is bigger... Ain't no way public venues is safe- no way, no how... It'll be th' death o' professional sports...

I wonder how many of them
know the rest of the verses and meaning of what the Marines were playing.

Oh, when the saints go marching in
Oh, when the saints go marching in
Oh Lord I want to be in that number
When the saints go marching in

Oh, when the drums begin to bang
Oh, when the drums begin to bang
Oh Lord I want to be in that number
When the saints go marching in

Oh, when the stars fall from the sky
Oh, when the stars fall from the sky
Oh Lord I want to be in that number
When the saints go marching in

Oh, when the moon turns red with blood
Oh, when the moon turns red with blood
Oh Lord I want to be in that number
When the saints go marching in

Oh, when the trumpet sounds its call
Oh, when the trumpet sounds its call
Oh Lord I want to be in that number
When the saints go marching in

Oh, when the horsemen begin to ride
Oh, when the horsemen begin to ride
Oh Lord I want to be in that number
When the saints go marching in

Amantidine isn't used for influenza any more. It is actually found a use in parkinsonism but there is no real understanding of its mechanism of action. Rimantadine is used, but again, we don't know why is works so it would be hard to guess if it would have any effect at all on Covid. Relenza is a neuramidase inhibitor and so would probably be about as effective on Covid as Tamiflu. None of them will probably do much to this bug.
Thanks for the reply rondaben!

What I don’t understand how many people are not waking up to the fact of all this! They just say in a not a big deal way, oh it’s just the end of the world coming! They have no concept of the big picture! My Sister who isn’t in the best of shape and recently had bronchitis are flying to Ireland next month. My kids are flying to Las Vegas next month and flying me to their home to babysit! my Girlfriend is flying to Australia and New Zealand. I really think no one should go anywhere! But they all have their heads in the sand!

US cruise ship passenger: "I finally feel like I can exhale"
From CNN's Sandi Sidhu

One passenger on board the Diamond Princess said she was relieved that "somebody is coming for us," after the US announced plans to fly American passengers home Sunday. The cruise ship is nearing the end of its two-week quarantine at the Japanese port of Yokohama and authorities say all passengers will disembark sometime next week.
Some Americans will leave early, with a flight for those who have not tested positive for the coronavirus or shown symptoms expected to leave Sunday evening Japan time. Once the passengers arrive in the US, they will be placed in another 14-day quarantine at one of two military bases in California and Texas.

"I finally feel like I can exhale," Gay Courter told CNN. "Somebody is coming for us."
She said she was happy to enter a new quarantine in California, though some other passengers were "very upset" about the prospect.
"I do not want to be a public health menace," Courter said. "I think a week or so on a military base would be interesting."
She was relieved to be out of the "failed quarantine" run by the Japanese authorities. The number of cases on the ship has risen considerably since it first docked in Yokohama.
"The hardest part of the ordeal has been feeling completely impotent under the rule of the Japanese government," Courter said. "And feeling that the American government was not able to break through their very hard stance."
Courter and her husband have been trapped inside their cabin for almost two weeks.
"It is fascinating to me how adaptable people are," she said. "We have routines, we have laundry in the sink. Going on the balcony (to call) our children. Lots of movies on television. We do not have a lot of responsibilities."
The biggest concern was the rising number of cases on board the ship.
"It became clear that we are in danger, we're not sure how, we don't know if it's air-conditioning or plumbing (that is spreading the virus)," she said. "We just don't know the vector ... I want to go somewhere where I feel safe and that is under American jurisdiction."

Pride comes before the fall.....Pride month ended.
I just got that book in the mail last week...
I looked for a movie named Contagion, nothing showed on netflix. "Pandemic" was first and foremost. It is a series that has a very good first show.....then the politics come out, subtly. Something to be garnered suffering thru the second, I think. The first shows the threat and issues with the medical teams and what they know they could be up against. Very much can be garnered. But they push for vaccines and such ulterior motives like migrations of people........we are the world stuff at the border, lots of emotion, yet ignoring the root causes and effects of the invasion. Subtle but there, one sided.

Everyone here has been watching previews for the last month and opening night is approaching. Hopefully the show is a total flop with all demanding a refund but some of the cast, although unknown, have great talent. A canceled show is preferable to it going into syndication but you bought your tickets and will have to take your chances.

“Welcome back my friends to the show that never ends ...”
or
“Show Canceled”.

We shall see.

Now running for Emperor.
if the number of lights in windows comes anywhere near the actual survival rate, we are so screwed
And, it may actually be really late in that pic, and most folks are asleep. Heavens knows we have seen out fair share of disinfo this month.

That "Self Quarantine" phrase pops-up again... It is going to get a BUNCH of people sick.

You either place people under genuine quarantine, or it didn't happen.

I just got that book in the mail last week...
That was subtle.

:siren::siren::siren::siren::siren:

I decided to do a crazy search and just now found the movie Contagion (2011) was posted to archive.org less than a day ago. The science in this is quite accurate especially compared to many other virus/pandemic movies. It's a bad outbreak of a bug from Asia (sound familiar?)

Here it is:
Contagion : Contagion : Free Download, Borrow, and Streaming : Internet Archive <<<--- movie page
https://archive.org/download/contagion2011_202002/5_6170202446099382546.mp4 <<<--- movie download link (hold cursor over the link, right click, save link as: )

They didn't hide the name or anything so this will get deleted and I suspect quickly. Save a copy now to watch later.

Samoa was one of the few places on earth that was not hit by the 1918 Great Influenza pandemic. They forced people to quarantine on ships until they were sure the danger had passed. The Samoa Islanders remember the story from their history and that includes the younger generations. - OGM

Fair use.

Samoa turns away eight of its own citizens over coronavirus fears
Refusal of entry to citizens after transiting through Singapore is illegal, expert warns

Samoa’s decision to refuse entry into the country of eight of its citizens over coronavirus fears has been criticised as a violation of international law by a legal expert.

Eight people were denied entry into Samoa over the weekend as they returned home from India, travelling through Singapore. The day before their flight, Singapore was added to a list of countries from which the Samoan government said it would not accept travellers until they had been quarantined for 14 days.

The group included five patients who had been in India for medical treatment. They were returned to Nadi, Fiji, their last port of departure, along with 11 others and are now being quarantined at the Grand Melanesian hotel in Nadi.

“On their way home, the Samoans had transited through Singapore, one of the six countries listed as a high risk from the coronavirus in the government’s latest updated travel advisory issued over the weekend. As a result, they were denied entry and returned to Fiji last night,” the Samoan government said in a statement on the weekend.

Jorge Contesse, the director of the Center for Transnational Law at Rutgers Law School in the US, said the incident was potentially a violation of international law.

“It is a violation of human rights international law for a country to deny the right of return of their own national. There is a human right to return to your home country and countries cannot deprive you of this right in a way that is arbitrary. That is a principle enshrined in UN human rights, and is a basic international human right as observed through human instruments and the International Covenant of Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR),” said Contesse.

Samoa is a party to the ICCPR and acceded in 2008.

“It is a fundamental right. On the understanding that your country is the place you feel safe in, therefore it is unlawful for your own country to deny re-entry,” said Contesse.

In an editorial on Wednesday, the Fiji Sun newspaper condemned the decision, saying it was “morally wrong for Samoa to refuse entry to eight of its citizens”, calling it “unacceptable and tantamount to dereliction of duty by a sovereign state”.

The Samoan government has introduced stringent quarantine measures for the coronavirus – now called Covid-19 – as it is dealing with intense criticism of its handling the measles epidemic that killed more than 80 people in 2019.

The government has also been criticised for its initial response to the coronavirus, with the Samoan government initially saying Samoan students would not be evacuated from Wuhan, though four were later evacuated on the Air New Zealand flight and are being quarantined in New Zealand.

A parent of a Samoan student in Wuhan wrote on social media: “We must be the only country turning away our own citizens to be quarantined elsewhere. What is the difference of being quarantined in Fiji and not Faleolo hospital as been advertised? This is most bizarre.”

According to Contesse the violation is determined by the arbitrary nature of the decision to deny reentry.

“Samoa needs to show that the decision is not arbitrary … Were there any other alternatives, because under international law, if the country has an alternative … then the country must enact that measure first.”

“Based on this case, the eight citizens could have been quarantined in Samoa, their own country or provided alternative measures that did not infringe on their rights of reentry. If there were any other ways for the Samoan government to protect its population they should have chosen that as a measure,” said Contesse.
