Circuit breakers Circuit-breaker points represent the thresholds at which trading is halted market-wide for single-day declines in the S&P 500 Index. Circuit breakers halt trading on the nation's stock markets during dramatic drops and are set at 7%, 13%, and 20% of the closing price for the previous day. The circuit breakers are calculated daily. Level 1 halt (7%)
The SEC implemented a new marketplace rule, known as the Limit Up-Limit Down Rule, designed to prevent trades from executing outside of price bands established throughout the day for individual stocks and exchange-traded funds (ETFs). |

The DEPRESSION BEGINS
To $1000 a gram gold and three digit silver?
Ha, ha... jk or im I?
Whadya I know but...the way I'm viewing this is....it (the virus) will sweep through China, and the case count will begin to decrease, productivity will go back up, gold will drop like a hot rock and the market will go back up.
If you're into the market, might be a good day for some sales.

Nah - not yet. If 'they' were smart, which they're not, they'd close the borders for about 3 weeks, let the shit die in place, take whatever hit needs to be taken and move along.
I do wonder though. As I shop at ChinaMart and ChinaFreight; can this bug survive long enough in a just perfect condition on the packing materials or products made over there to infect the populous wherever it lands?
They're saying Coronas can live in "perfect conditions" for up to 27 days on hard surfaces. South Korea is quarantining products for 10 days.Nah - not yet. Of course you're JK. No way Ag is going to $100+. The ratio is still in the 89:1 ballpark. Plus if Ag goes THAT high, Au will be practically untouchable for the common plebe.
The DEPRESSION BEGINS
Of note...
Silver...the only PM that has not broke its 80s high.
Also I read that China mandated paper money not be circulated in the hot virus area.
Silver coinage is the only currancy that wouldn't be a carrier of tje virus and could have a big value in a little coin at three digit silver...
Just musing....
I wonder if this might be the correction my BF talked about all the time. He was a stock broker, passed away a year ago. Never got upset when the market went down. Said it was going up too fast, too high. It needed a correction. He was more concerned about it going up too much. Miss his insight
I don't think so. This is just the investment folks who've been believing the Hopium realizing a Communist country might lie. Couple that with the fact of Italy and South Korea. These investors have memories about as long as goldfish, so things will be back to ponies and rainbows in a few days....facts be damned.I wonder if this might be the correction my BF talked about all the time.
