1930s Grandma's Stuffed Rolls

1 egg beaten
1/2 c oatmeal
1 lb hamburger
salt & pepper
1/4 chopped onion
1/4 chopped celery
1/4 c butter
1/2 teasp sage
Bread crumbs
2Tab lemon juice
1 lb spinach cooked & drained, can use a can of it now days drained
4 eggs hard boiled & sliced
2 slices bacon
Mix oats, burger, salt & pepper. Pat mix into 9x12 or 13 pan, which has been lined with wax paper. In a sauce pan cook onion & celery in butter til tender. Stir in sage,toss this with bread crumbs & lemon. Spread over top of meat mixtrue, then spinach & hard boiled eggs. Roll up like a jelly roll. Press edge to seal ends. Transfer roll seam side down to a greased baking dish or pan. Halve bacon strips & lay cross wise across the top of the meat roll. Bake uncovered 350 deg for 50 to 60 min, serves 6 to 8
