Misc Bumper crop of pawpaws

I planted three pawpaw trees 7 or 8 years ago and now, after a long wait, they are finally bearing fruit! There were a few fruits last year, but this year, the trees are loaded and now the fruit is ripe. They are good eating fresh but they don't keep more than a few days. What do you all do with your pawpaws? Do you have any good recipes?

I saw somewhere recently that you can make it into butter, like apple butter.

They grow wild around here and getting the really dark (black) ones before they hit the ground is when they are the best, have not gone looking for them this year.
Perhaps try freezing a few in zip lock bags and thaw them out to see if that is an option. Would like to know how well they can be made into a pie with a gram cracker crust?

Experiment with small amounts. I haven't had access to enough pawpaws yet to try cooking them, but from what I've read, some people have adverse reactions to cooked pawpaw. Not everyone, but enough that it seems to be a concern.

Did a little looking around the net and there are people using PawPaws to make things like Beer from Pawpaws and Ice Creme seen a few that were canning the fruits, seen a video showing of old days cooking and making a pudding like pie from them and there are no old pawpaw recipes they used one from something else and used that.
