This recipe comes from a really old book I have,that was written by an woman in her 80's whose mother was a slave in Baton Rouge.
Best cooked up in a black iron skillet!
Fry up some bacon,about 5 strips....When the bacon is done,remove the bacon from the skillet leave the drippens in!
Put in 1 or 2 14oz jars of greenbeans into the drippens and add 1/2 cup of white viniger and 1/2 cup of sugar...stir till mixed...Bring to boil,then move heat back to Low..cook about 1 hour.
When done,drain the juice off and crumple the bacon over the top and serve.....
And,these are the best Sweet and Sour,Greenbeans you'all ever eat!
