My good friend and shooting buddy Mr Giersch and I went up into the square this evening to see what was going on...what we found was not a lot of people, most businesses were open but doing sparse business...but we got some shooting done which was the purpose of the adventure anyway...

Twas kinda sad...not even many decorations up this year...

Thanx for the very kind comments!

It may be worth noting here that both of these pics were taken using "cloudy" white balance, which is still a daylight WB but a tad warmer...these cameras are smart, and can do a lot of the work for you if U can learn to see as the camera sees. Certain inputs still need to be done by the photographer - but the camera can help alot...

I looked at the first picture a long time, it's very intriguing.

I messed with a lot of the light settings on my camera to see what took the best photos for the light-oddly enough, the food setting was the best all around for generic needs. One of these days I need to do it right though, cause I love taking pictures-soooo much faster than drawing or painting something, instant gratification.

Nice work jr
