WOW. You both forgot and you both got away unscathed? That's not just incredible-it's a miracle!

Neither here nor there.
Saturday was our anniversary and we both forgot about it, DH asked me yesterday when it was and said it was yesterday. We are always greatful to be together so it really doesn't matter that we forgot, but it was kind of funny.

At least you can't be mad at each other if you both forgot! Happy Anniversary -- now you can celebrate all week :)

Ours was Saturday too. And we just decided not to really celebrate it with gifts. Though we did go out to eat at a favorite steak house.

And it was awful. And prices across the board was on average 10% plus, higher. Plus one of my favorites the pulled pork sandwich was no longer available!

They said because of the Corona virus, grrr....

We have forgotten more often than remembered, one of us usually remembers within a few days. For years we argued if it was the 25th or 26th of June so we would have to find our marriage certificate. 42 years and going strong :-)

7 very blessed years, 2nd for him and (ouch) 4th for me. DH's first wife of 49 years died from cancer and I divorced #3 after 35 years. We stopped buying gifts for each other a couple of years ago. If we want something we buy it ourselves. Every day we are together is a beautiful gift from God.

Start to worry when it becomes "happy anniversary, uh... what's your name again?"

Congrats Judy :rs:

We've been married 32 years next month. My favorite anniversaries were the two that he forgot:

#1. We celebrated our 4th anniversary a few days early because DH was in school at the time and our anniversary fell during one of his classes. I remembered at 10:00 that night as we were praying before bed. I could hardly wait for him to say amen so I could wish him "Happy Anniversary!" He was dumbfounded.
#2. I remembered, but he did not. I decided to make meatloaf for dinner since I got the impression that we were not going out. He loves meatloaf, but I hate it, so I only make it for his birthday or Father's Day. So he sits down to a nice meatloaf dinner, with at least three or four of our kids also with us, and is so delighted. "Meatloaf! What's the special occasion?"

I wished him Happy Anniversary, and he was absolutely floored. And then our younger son piped in, "I was going to say something, but you never forget, so I didn't." DH still hasn't forgiven him.

Happy Anniversary!! Ours was Sunday, 34 years. We had agreed we weren't doing presents because we spent so much on the kitchen remodel last winter. He got me a present anyway, I didn't get him one......so I made him carrot cake. Our dd's birthday was Saturday too.
