Baking Dill Bread

I just bought a new stove and oven. Making bread should commence asap.

Anyone ever heard of Dill bread?

Sister in law always made it for Thanksgiving. 2 slices with a salmon filet in the middle. tartar on one side and mayo on the other-best salmon sandwich I ever had in my life

Any ideas of how to make a Dill bread?

I love Dill bread. I haven't made it in a while, but when I did I made it like a rye bread and used dill seeds. I tried the ones with cottage cheese and didn't care for them, but if that is the one you like it should be easy to find with google.

If I can find my recipe I will post it. I used unbleached bread flour, rye flour, honey, water (not milk), yeast, salt, oil, a little onion and dill seeds if I remember correctly. If you do sourdough a sourdough rye recipe would be nice with a little onion and dill seeds.

Just printed out the recipe from my sil. This will take some time and work. It calls for cottage cheese as well; I have cream cheese, would that work?

I doubt that cream cheese would work. The consistency is very different, it is firm and cottage cheese is softer. Entirely different products.
