Diwali, the Indian Festival of Light is coming up on November 7th. Sales! Prepping opportunity. If you have an Indian grocery store in your area it might be worth checking out. I just scored lentils and spices at some wonderful prices. There were also other assorted beans at good prices. If you like fresh bean seed for sprouting? Another opportunity.
Picked up a nice big bag of fresh coriander seed, 28 oz for $6.99!, desperately needed for family's traditional end of garden pickle recipe.
Also found fresh Desi-Ginger and fresh white turmeric root! I've seen white turmeric root maybe once before. I was told it has medicinal properties, possible more so than the easier to obtain orange turmeric root. Some of the orange turmeric root is sending up sprouts in the kitchen and plan to try the same with the white.
