Sewing Dress Forms?

New question came up - both my D and I sew. She's looking for an adjustable dress form with at least split legs for pants (she's tall). I've been looking online and not finding anything that is going to work for her.

I'm going to dig thru my back issues of threads magazine in the ad section, I guess. But I thought I'd ask y'all for a recommendation. Most of the links that come up for me go to Walmart or Amazon. Looking for something a bit better than that.

Legs and arms! Yeah, I've seen the prices. And then there are padding kits. Some are even 3D scan replicas of your body... sci-fi sewing!!

But it does help getting the fit right - especially pants. Hol & I have broad square shoulders, so the arms make sense too. I've made lots of things that were just impossibly tight across the back because my shoulders are built so wide.

Look for youtube videos on how to make your own dress form (t-shirt, duct tape). That way, your form will fit you. Way cheaper than buying a dress form.
