Help with dosage of Ivm for dogs -

I read on the web that the dosage of IVM for dogs is .0015 - .003 mg/Lb of Dog's body weight for Heartworm Prevention. So for a 50lb dog, that works out to .15mg if I'm doing my maths correctly.

Since the Durvet injectable is a 1% solution, is it proper to assume that would mean using 15mg of the injectable (given orally, not injected...)? OR, is that already factored in to the dosage??

In comparing the dosage for swine and cattle, the recommended dosage is 1ml per 110lb b.w. for Cattle, and 1ml per 75lb b.w. for swine.

Checking a Heartguard box, it says it delivers 272 mcgs ivm for weight range of 51-100 lbs.

So, anyone using this alternative form of IVM for their pets? If so, what dosage are you using for the weight of animal?

(Thanks for any insight you can give. Vets in this area have become more expensive out of pocket than Human Specialists... No offense intended to any Vets on board.)

This is the dose I've used for years...https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://americanbully.pro/kennel/iv...kQFnoECCoQAQ&usg=AOvVaw2a5WrQvOGaI980KcajY1Uq

It's 1 cc or milliliter per 100#, or 1/2 cc for 50#. This is significantly higher than what you posted, and I see where you got it from, but I'm not sure why the discrepancy.

Each milliliter of 1% ivermectin solution contains 10 mgs active ivermectin.
