Easy sauce for rice/prep

Sleep? What is that?
We lived on the island of Guam for two years, and fell in love with a lot of the local food, which has a heavy Filopino influence.

Over there your typical restaurant always offers sticky rice, the kind that you can scoop out and put vegetables over. They also had small vats of Finadenni Sauce, which I must have with my rice now.

So, we bought a rice machine here and use it several times a week, I find it indispensible!

Here is a recipe for Finadenni sauce- the ingredients should be found in any preppers pantry. I make it in 1 Cup batches, save it in the fridge, it's great!

1/2 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup vinegar
white onion, chopped fine, raw ( approx. two tablespoons)

Just combine these ingredients and pour over hot white rice (and vegetables) - if you wish.

Many islanders also added chopped hot peppers but we keep ours tame. ;)

This sauce is also excellent if poured over leftovers and stir-fried next time in a little oil in a hot wok or large fry pan.

I like simplicity in cooking, and this is as simple as it gets!

I always make stir-fried teriyaki chicken with it, it's excellent with stir-fried vegetables like snow peas, water chestnuts, carrots, celery, whatever.
