Meds Genrl expired Sambucol

Wondering what I should do with my expired sambucol......does it really go bad? Or lose its potency?

Good question, I've got several bottles of Sambucus, been stored cool and dark in original boxes, expired 1 /2011.

Bump to hopefully get a knowledgable opinion on it.

All I can tell you is that my elderberry syrup stays good for at least three years, kept cool and DARK.

I use expired, unless it has turned an off color. I have had it happen after it's been opened and refrigerated, and ones that I had in a storage closet.

I just used some from a bottle last weekend that I'm sure is over 3 years old and worked just fine. Had a scratchy throat on Saturday took a big swig and by end of day it was gone.
