Florida Governor DeSantis: Satanists Can't be Part of School Chaplain Program "We’re Not Playing Those Games in Florida"

On Thursday, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis
signed House Bill 931 into law.

The law allows school districts and charter schools to “adopt a policy to authorize volunteer school chaplains to provide support, services, and programs to students as assigned by the district school board or charter school governing board.”

The Governor also made it clear that the program will not be imposed upon public school students, sharing that it is “totally voluntary for a parent or a student to participate.”

In subsequent comments, DeSantis made it clear that the new measure would not open the door for members of the Satanic Temple to be public school chaplains.

The Florida Phoenix reports, “Some have said that if you do a school chaplain program that, somehow, you’re going to have satanists running around in all our schools. We’re not playing those games in Florida. That is not a religion. That is not qualified to be able to participate in this. So, we’re going to be using common sense when it comes to this. You don’t have to worry about it.”
Satanists are displeased.

The Christian Post reports the co-founder of The Satanic Temple responded to the new law with a request to debate DeSantis.
Lucien Greaves, co-founder of The Satanic Temple, which oversees After School Satan Clubs and planned to take advantage of the law, argued in a series of social media posts summarizing his comments to media that DeSantis’ words “hold no authority” because the U.S. Constitution “guarantees equal treatment under the law.” The group has threatened to sue if its members were prohibited from participating in the chaplain program.
Greaves stressed DeSantis “invited Satanic chaplains into public schools, whether he likes it or not” because he is “not at liberty to amend the Constitution by fiat.” He also noted that The Satanic Temple is recognized by the IRS as a tax-exempt religious organization.
After a call with DeSantis’ office on Friday, Greaves announced he instructed the organization’s Executive Director of Operations to send a formal proposal for a debate between DeSantis and Greaves.
The Satanic Temple has fought to hold After School Satan Clubs in school districts across the country, including Pennsylvania, Virginia, California, North Carolina, Ohio and Illinois.

You will all likely be surprised that the Church of Sntan neither believes in Satan or worships him.

It is more a counter-culture approach to all the SUPPOSED "Jesus" loving FREAKS who are running the asylums'.

The only crazies who believe in SATAN are.. well, SURPRISE (to no one) CHRISTIANS!!!

Wait, no satan? Whut? We've been.. hd? HuH?

Think to yourself.. "is there a *GOD* who rules the "underworld(?)" and promotes "evil(?)" .. uh, to what end? Is he more or less powerful than (good)God?

Christianitys concept of "Satan" is full of loophools and just silly. There is no Satan. Evil exists as a natural phenomenon nd you should COMBAT it mentally and physically and orally but.... a physical *God* of evil... a little preposterous..

..say the (SO CALLED) Satanists....

Not sure how to respond, or if it is even worth trying. Your position is well known. Your entire screed is ridicule, now who does that??

I find it preposterous that anyone can be alive and an adult and not see the fingerprints of God, the most intelligent designer, and manufacturer. His finger prints are found everywhere when subject to a microscope, often to the naked eye.

A naked woman in her prime is absolute proof, I need no more. But it is everywhere. As is this evil, which is fully exposed in the Bible.

You choose not to understand. So be it, it's a free gift and can't be beat, the meaning of life. So go ahead deny deny deny, and then perhaps prior to your death, you see. If not, it will be proven to be the stupidest decision you ever made.

That's my opinion of your ridicule. FYI, the Holy Spirit is alive in me, and reaffirms his presence quite often. Imagine if you had the power in you. Guarantee you'd be better for it. It's a given.

Yes, I believe empathy and compassion are present in nature. I hear MANY Christians say that God/Christ are the SOURCE of good in the world, and that without knowing Christ, you cannot be good or cannot have a moral compass... Thats hogwash. That's Satan speaking. Thats what god was talking about when he said "Take not my name in vain." Do not call yourself a Christian, and then JUDGE others, while not knowing their story, or the total circumstances (ie, GODS MASTER PLAN.)

I am SURE that there are THOUSANDS, MILLIONS or good Muslims in the world, whom *IN A VACUUM* would not do all the things their book & God call for....

And Reactivist.. Lol. always love to hear the satanic rantings of a "Good christian" who drops the facade and shows their "christ-like" colors. Lol. When I ask myself "What WOULD a true Satan say?" I am often not surprised that it is the "Christians" say Jesus would do. Lol. Read about Jesus some. "I don't think you know what this word means."

Heart of Dixie
The sad part about deception, especially to Christians, is that Satan does not have long horns and red underwear, that is a cartoon fixation created by deception. Satan was and is a beautiful angel created by God. Satan became prideful, fell and deceived 1/3 of Gods children. His looks did not change.

The governor will have a larger problem when other groups want chaplains. That is why Republican Governor Pete Wilson never signed a law in California that allowed religious groups to get state funding for private religious schools.

The first school, ready to go as soon as it was signed, had a building, teachers hired, and all their paperwork dotted and signed. I knew some of the folks behind it. They were from the Bay Area PAGAN (not Luciferian) community.

The Governor was horrified when his attorneys, advisors, and some judges informed him that he could not limit State Funding to Christian school applicants. The funding would have to go to any group that qualified, including Jews, Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, Pagans, and, yes, Satanists if they did all the work to open or already had such an existing school.

By making this "voluntary," De Santas takes away the funding issue. But the distraction of the "Lucys" (as we Pagans and Heathens like to call them), the real tests will be when the first Rabbis, Imams, Hindu Priests, and Buddhist monks apply to volunteer.

That will be a very interesting court case if things get that far.
