Colonel, that is so pleasantly nostalgic to me having been born and raised near the sea and lighthouses. From my hill, I can't hear the foghorns anymore that I grew up with and I still miss those soothing sounds.

What light is it that you've caught in your photo?

I now live inland where I grew up on the family farm, but for 6 yrs I lived in Rockland-Camden, right near the water. The ocean smell, the sounds of the waves, the everchanging lighting on remarkable scenes is amazing to experience. I go to the shores often and drive up and down the remote peninsulas far off the beaten path where the only activity is small time commercial fishing. The scenes are amazing. The photography unlike anywhere else.

pemaquid light... easy access; prettiest of all; rich photos options from vatious angles. will post several asap.

Please do! As long as I've lived here in SoCal from New England I've never visited Point Fermin Light even though it's not THAT far away but I have a hunch I'll be seeing it in the not-too-distant future with a very special guide.

I'd love to see more of your light photos!

so many of us live not far from special places that we never bother to go check out because they are so close we know we will go see them someday soon, but never do.

Ayup! I did make it back 3,000 miles to Gloucester for the Fisherman's Memorial dedication, Cape Pond Ice and the Crow's Nest but haven't made it to Point Fermin Light! :shr:

Col holmon, has a talent for great photos!

I have been there....the photos that is. Where they were taken I mean.

The col has another specialty he follows. Mo, perhaps you can draw him out.

Some folks are multi-talented. Not me.

Mo, if you get to MAINE in the not to distant future, we would love to meet up for a coffee.

I think it safe to say that every one here in MAINE would love to have a meet up.

And perhaps meet your guide?

(((hugs)))
