Thanks Arubi,

That link was so neat and had so many remembrances!

I've sent it all around....to family and friends! :)
What fun! (In otherwise dismal times..)

Thanks Arubi!

I wish that I would have seen this earlier and I could have ordered the wax fangs and lips. My daughter and I would always have fun with these. Maybe I will buy her an assortment bag of old favorites for a special stocking stuffer.

Saved, to glorify God.
Anybody else remember Black Jack Taffey and "Chicken Dinner" candy bars?

How about "Walnetto's" and "Bit o' Honey"?

I didn't find my favorite from the 50's: Mint Julips! They were green mint taffys wrapped up in little squares. There were 6 to 8 per package. I used to buy them nearly every time I went to the movies. My other favorite was a large cherry "Charms" lollipop. :)

I prefer http://www.groovycandies.com/

I just got an order from them Saturday as a matter of fact!

Clove, Teaberry, and BlackJack gum and a box of Cinnamon Toothpicks.

They are SUPER fast on shipping and the prices aren't bad either!

I found Clove gum last Christmas and bought some for all my kids, I got it all back except for the 3 yr. old who asks for it.

Oh the five and dime, back home ours still exists by the same name but non of the rows and rows of candy. My favorite were the square cinnamon suckers, wax lips and chick-o-stick. Loved the cinnamon toothpicks and candy necklaces too!

Thanks for the memories ARUBI...headed to the dentist this morning, I wonder why?

The Vt. Country Store is about 1 hr. drive from me, but as large as their selection is, it doesn't match Old Time Candy. I just put in an order Fri., great selection of sugar free.
