[Old Gray Mare]

I stored kernel corn from the feed mill in 50 gallon metal drums. The drums were proof against rats and mice but over time (don't remember how long) the corn molded bad and would have been poisonous if used for feed and when spread as compost in a corner of the garden didn't sprout. YMMV
