INTL Harry and Meghan plan to do things their way.

I am pretty sure she bought most of that stuff herself but I could be wrong, she came into the marriage as a wealthy women by most standards, maybe not that of the .001 percent but enough to be a clothes horse especially if a lot of her other bills were covered (no rent, no travel expenses, etc).

Nope. Lots of news articles out there on the clothing allowance that Charles provides his daughters in laws.

Plus, just like with the US President, there are rules about accepting gifts.

Her wedding gown was paid for by Charles but is hers; it cost 75,000 pounds according to news articles at the time (and recently) when people seemed interested in knowing who the dress belongs to. The curator at Windsor's museum explained it pretty well.

Her pre-wedding wardrobe was paid for by Harry, post wedding it is from the Cornwall allowance.

This is 2017 for William, Kate, and Harry:
Prince Harry and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge source their expenses from money they receive from Prince Charles' $28 million Duchy of Cornwall income, People adds. Last year, the three reportedly spent about $4.8 million of that fund for salaries, office costs and other business-related expenses—including wardrobes.

Meghan now gets a piece of that pie and for 2019 the financial report states that $995,000 was spent on Meghan's wardrobe alone.

Yeah, I am not as familiar with the royals clothing practices, I do know that nearly every US First Lady in modern times (including Nancy Reagan) and with the exception of Malania who is independently wealthy have resorted to "borrowing" designer gowns for themselves and their families from major fashion houses.

The reason being that even Nancy couldn't have afforded them all, though the practice was "outed" when she got in trouble for not sending some of them back quickly enough (aka she might have thought she could keep them).

This is kept pretty quiet but is well known in fashion circles and often trade magazines etc will show an outfit on a First Lady or a family member, mention where it was worn and that you or your shop can buy them at such and such fashion company for XYZ amount of money (I've even occasionally seen this in on-line mainstream papers).

I suspect the UK Royal family does NOT do this, for the same reasons as one article says they don't want Harry signing on with a jewelry company and showing up at an official function wearing (and advertising) the watches the next day.

But there are no rules against doing this in the US, except they can't be "gifts" they have to be given back after the State Dinner or whatever occasion it is.

Gifts given to the US President are not considered his personal property but become the property of the US itself and are held in trust for We The People in the National Archives.

A loan of clothing is like any other loan … you gotta give it back in a timely manner, per written agreement.

In the UK, not accepting gifts of clothing is a matter of Protocol. Might as well say it is the law then if you want to keep your Crown and stay out of trouble with people that are fond of pitchforks and torches.

This stuff is all written down and codified. All you have to do is going looking for it.

Interesting note here ... gifts are taxable. Should a president or royal accept a gift it is considered income and will be taxed as such. That is probably one of the main reasons, in addition to any appearance of bribery or favoritism, that gifts are handled the way they are.

Michelle and Barack are advising 'friends' Harry and Meghan on life outside the royal family
I'm on a tablet if someone could please post the article.

Yuck. I don't do Bams and Moochie, but for you..................

Michelle and Barack Obama advising 'friends' Harry and Meghan on life outside Royal Family
MICHELLE and Barack Obama have been advising Prince Harry and Megan Markle on their new life outside the Royal Family, insiders have claimed

PUBLISHED: 02:44, Sat, Jan 11, 2020 | UPDATED: 00:33, Sun, Jan 12, 2020

Michelle and Barack still attend high-profile events and have continued to make money through their biographies, with Michelle’s selling 1.4 million copies in its first week.

Her book 'Becoming' is on course to be the best-selling autobiography of all time and Michelle has also been on a lucrative speaking tour worldwide.

She and her husband have recently signed a deal with Netflix to make films - their intention to produce a series of “humanistic projects” that can attract an audience.

This is something that has reportedly perked the interest of Meghan, while Harry has already been involved in an Apple TV series which focuses on mental health, alongside Oprah Winfrey.

Sources have told the Daily Mail's Rebecca English that Harry and Meghan have had talks with the Obamas and getting advice on how to operate and build success away from their more prominent roles.

The source said: “They have found huge commercial success without actually looking like they are getting their hands dirty, to put it bluntly, and retaining their popularity.

“In fact it is fair to say that their star has soared since leaving the White House, particularly Michelle’s, and this is something Meghan admires very, very much.”

It comes after Harry and Meghan announced that they would be stepping down as senior royals.

The Canadian government has been informed - as have has senior British officials.

The Government is now said to be in crunch talks with the pair over their future involvement.

And insiders say Meghan and Harry are hoping for a solution to be found “sooner rather than later.”

Plenty of phone calls and meetings have taken place.

Harry has established a close friendship with the Obamas.

They have found common ground on humanitarian causes, as well as the Invictus Games, which is competed in by disabled veterans.

Meghan, meanwhile, is a good friends with Michelle.

She secretly appeared at a talk Mrs Obama gave in London two years ago.

The Duchess has even interviewed Michelle, in collaboration with British Vogue.

Meghan said Mrs Obama had become “such a globally respected public figure”.

She stated: “Whatever your background, it’s easy to feel connected to Mrs Obama.

“There’s something magical about the way in which she draws you in with her endearingly frank, down-to-Earth personality.”

Since leaving office, the Obamas have set up a charitable foundations which aim to effect change in girls’ education and tackle youth violence.

The pair signed a £50 million book deal with Penguin Random House in 2017, spending the money on a glamorous home near Cape Cod.

How many times and in how many ways does it have to be said? It is all about the money and ego and has absolutely nothing to do with the charities and charitable activities they say they want to participate in and sponsor. Because if it was all about charity, remaining in their current position allows them to do all of the charity work they can handle.

I tell you Charles should at the very least take away the clothing allowance he gives Markle. The clothing allowance exceeds a million pounds annually. It is only in recent weeks that she has finally started slowing down on the cost of her wardrobe and even with that her wardrobe cost exceeded $995,000 in 2019.

She owns a crap ton of jewelry outright in her name now as well including a pair of diamond snowflake earrings she's worn a couple of times that cost 12,000 pounds. Yeah, she's not making out like a bandit is she.
But why do you care how Charles spends his money? Pulling taxpayer funded money makes sense but the family should be free to spend their own money however they see fit.

Why do I care? Not the issue because I am not a UK citizen. It is about financial facts. I do care when people try to use US media to manipulate others.

Markle has not given up her US citizenship so I have no problem calling her actions exactly what they are … mercenary. And perhaps even to some extent fraudulent since she plans on making money off of being a "royal" without actually being a "royal" in a true sense of the word, meaning fulfilling her responsibility to the people the monarchy serves.

According to what I read when they got married, she has applied for British citizenship.

But has not given up her US citizenship. Dual citizenship was possible but it would have put a kibosh on a few things, that's for sure. I don't even know if you can have a serving monarch with dual citizenship. It makes her tax situation pretty strange given the amount of her income and the high tax rates for both US and UK.

According to what I read when they got married, she has applied for British citizenship.
It was mentioned in one of the very long UK Daily Mail articles (I suggest everyone really interested who has time read today's Daily Mail because you will see more than you ever wanted to know) anyway it said that her moving to Canada could affect her application for British Citizenship because she has to spend a certain number of days in the UK (not Canada).

I'm pretty sure that if they had stayed in the UK she would have given up her US citizenship eventually for tax reasons if nothing else, the IRS had already been making her and the palace mavens crazy from day one demanding full taxes on "property" she didn't really own like imaginary rent (if it were charged) on the couples original quarters in the Palace and other stunts (similar but worse than what they did to Boris Johnson).

I'm convinced the IRS only settled with Boris when they because they could see he was likely to become UK Prime Minister and that would be a serious diplomatic row if the UK Head of Her Majesty's Government was not "allowed" by the US to give up his US Citizenship because the IRS refused to let him.

I mean yeah he'd have diplomatic immunity from arrest on a State visit to the US but he kept practically screaming in the press "I am trying to give up my US citizenship and they won't let me!" (he was born in the US but his family moved back to the UK when he was five).

As a senior royal, Meghan would probably have immunity from direct prosecution too but now, who knows?

I bet their US Tax accountants are rolling in it - oh they want taxes on Harry's income too, now that he's married an American.

Sorry for the side issue, but I suspect it comes into play as to why Canada or perhaps even why US choices for them; this is a huge problem for all ex-pat Americans, but people on salaries don't get hurt as badly as those with weirder sources of income.

I note that with the discussions about Harry and the Royals Meg will be on a conference call from Canada. So if it doesn't go according to her plan she can blame Harry and the Establishment etc. As far as I'm concerned this has has been solely initiated by Meg with Harry toeing the line, if he had married someone else things would have been different. IMO they can **** off as long as they are not supported in any way by taxpayer money from the UK or Canada (re. security).

NB I'm not a great fan of the Royals but if they can't or won't do the job they should be sacked.

I don't give a toss about citizenship one way to the other , if he and more importantly Meg doesn't want to be part of it then they should leave or pay taxes.

Harry has known since he was old enough to comprehend that he was born into a different family and has been groomed his whole life to accept the responsibilities and privileges that go with it.

Markle was apparently born into an upper class American family and from what I can gather was an entitled child. She later became a wanna be A-lister actress. She is a feminist and flaming liberal.

The couple dated long enough for her to at least be told what the life would entail. Of course she couldn't know fully what it would be until she began living it but it appears she went into the marriage with eyes wide open.

What troubles me is the arrogant disregard for Harry's family. He and Wills have been "you and me against the world" since their mother's death and when Kate came into the picture, Wills, Harry and Kate were known as the Three Musketeers. The love between the brothers and then Kate was palpable. Recently Wills expressed his sorrow that he can't even put his arm around his brother now.

It's no secret that Harry is the Queen's favorite. She has gone out of her way to favor him and his bad boy antics. When he brought Markle home, she did everything to include her into the family. Markle was invited to spend Christmas with the family before they were married. That had never happened to any other engaged couple. She then subsidized the (close to) $4 million wedding and the $3.5 million renovation to Frogmore Cottage out of the Sovereign Grant.

After the spectacular wedding, viewed around the world and the hoopla over her baby had died down, Markle began whining about her lack of privacy which was laughable since she never stopped doing things to put her in the limelight. They couldn't even be bothered to join the family this past Christmas, knowing it was probably Prince Phillip's last with his family. Now they want to be "financially independent" which is also laughable since each is filthy rich. Oh but wait! They do want to keep Frogmore and they do expect the government to pay for their security. Really?

All this was played out in the public without any apparent thought to how it would affect anyone but them. The Queen is aging, facing the prospect of losing her spouse of over 72 years and dealing with the fallout of Andrew's situation. Could this have been done in private out of respect for the Queen and Charles and Wills? Of course not. It was all about them. And what an upstanding "stand by your man" Markle is to have Harry face the Queen, Charles and Wills alone while she stays in North America?

So Harry knows he'll never be King? He's known this for a very long time. What changed? Markle! Just think of the asset the two of them could have been to themselves and the monarchy if they decided to use their life of privilege for the good of mankind. Instead they've trademarked their "brand" and are now selling coffee cups, tee shirts and who knows what else? It's disgusting.

What's the old saying? Think of what could be accomplished if you don't care who gets the credit. I predict this ego driven woman and this weak man will at the very least live on separate continents or probably divorce within a year or two.

Thanks for letting me vent. I didn't realize how ticked off this whole thing had made me!

One Brit's view on their motivation for pulling all this:

A woke Wallis Simpson
Why is Meghan ditching her duchess role? Because she wants to be the global Queen of Woke.

BRENDAN O'NEILL

A woke Wallis Simpson

TopicsFEMINISM POLITICS UK

"So Harry and Meghan are stepping back. They’re resigning from The Firm. They’re ducking out of the Sovereign Grant and royal duties and going it alone. They’re going to split their time between the UK and North America – think of all the CO2! – and become more ‘independent’.

Why? Come on, we all know why. Forget the tripe about them fleeing the racism of the UK tabloids and the nonsense about the first DOC (duchess of colour) not being made to feel welcome in the stiff, white House of Windsor. No, H&M, the most right-on royals in history, are breaking off so that they can foist even more woke bollocks on the plebs without having to worry about receiving a tutting phone-call from Her Maj’s press secretary reminding them that they’re royalty and not virtue-signalling Hollywood celebs.

Megxit, as this royal bombshell is wittily being called, is a striking sign of the times. What Harry and Meghan are doing is virtually unprecedented in the history of the royals. They are jacking in their jobs (I say jobs) as senior royals and pursuing a more ‘financially independent’ path that will allow them to earn, travel and – this is important – jabber on about their pet concerns and causes as much as they like.

Even leaving aside the fact that they won’t actually be financially independent – they’ll still get wads of cash from the Duchy of Cornwall and will still stay in that Frogmore Cottage us British taxpayers just splashed 2.4million quid on – still their move is a startling and concerning one.

What it fundamentally reveals is the incompatibility of the modern culture of narcissism with the values of duty, loyalty and self-negation traditionally associated with royal life. To someone like Meghan, who sprang from celebville, who sees herself as the embodiment of right-on goodness, and who loves nothing more than advertising her eco-virtue and performing her PC credentials, life in the British monarchy was never going to be a good fit.
https://www.spiked-online.com/podcast-episode/boris-brexit-and-the-irish-border/
Yes, the woke agenda Meghan expresses so well shares much in common with the old-world elitism of the monarchical system. Both obsess over inherited characteristics (the woke bang on about race and gender, the monarchy is all about bloodline). Both have a penchant for looking down their noses at the little people. And both have an instinctive loathing for modernity, from Charles’ longstanding conservationism to H&M’s humanity-bashing eco-hysteria.

But there’s one big, irreconcilable difference: where the woke value the self over everything else, senior royals are meant, ostensibly at least, to be selfless, to submerge the self into the crown. It looks like this is a deal-breaker for the younger, more celebrity-oriented royals, especially newcomer Meghan but also Harry, too. Their unprecedented ‘stepping back’, and the fury this has allegedly caused in the Palace, suggests the cult of the self that Meghan and other showily virtuous celebs embody and promote, does not work within an institution whose ideal is the Queen: opinion-free, emotions hidden, dutiful, unquestioning and in it for the long haul.

Duty is anathema to a new generation whose chief goal is often self-realisation. Any notion of collapsing the self into something bigger than oneself, something more historic or something collective, is alien to many in the selfie-taking, values-performing generation. Indeed, the most striking thing about Harry and Meghan’s bombshell is the way they talk about the royal family as if it is little more than a stepping stone to their self-realisation.

To them, the monarchy seems to be little more than a workspace, a place where they learned some skills which they will now take into their new role as global promoters of wokeness and of themselves. They talk about having ‘internal discussions’ and deciding to ‘make a transition’ in order to ‘carve out a progressive new role within this institution’. They sound more like Silicon Valley millennials making the case for a job promotion than members of a family that was allegedly chosen by God to rule the nation.
https://www.spiked-online.com/podcast-episode/are-we-heading-for-a-smoke-free-world/
Even more startling is the way they talk about the queen. They say they will ‘continue to collaborate with Her Majesty The Queen’. Collaborate with? They sound more like Kendall Jenner talking about her adverts with Pepsi than individuals who are meant to devote themselves for life to royal duty and the preservation of the crown. I’m about as republican as it gets (abolish the monarchy is my view), but even I recognise that treating the queen as a kind of big business one temporarily ‘collaborates with’ is out of order. Meghan comes off like a woke Wallis Simpson, taking away a senior royal into a new life of PC globetrotting.

Of course, the Meghan-loving liberal set are responding to Megxit by chastising the British tabloids and, by extension, the riff-raff who read them. You racist shits drove this wonderful woman away – that’s the undertone, and sometimes the overtone, of what they’re saying. It captures how snooty the woke brigade is, where they are essentially reprimanding the masses for daring to criticise their royal superiors. Overlooking, of course, that there was a lot to criticise about H&M, from their moaning about their privileged lives to their hypocritical jetting around the world to make platitudinous lectures about climate change.

Harry and Meghan haven’t been driven out by racism or prejudice or hatred. Rather, they’re ducking out of their own accord so that they can go even more global, more woke, more famously, internationally, irritatingly PC. They’re going to become even more insufferable. And here’s the thing: they will trade on their still existing royal titles to do so. So Meghan spent a couple of years in the royal family and now is pretty much leaving it while holding on to the duchess / princess thing in order to give her naff feminism and eco-posturing and celeb shoulder-rubbing more oomph? I’ll say it again: abolish the monarchy."

Stupidity Reigns Supreme

Nafea Faa Ipoipo (When Will You Marry?), Paul Gaugiun

"No use piling on where Prince Andrew is concerned. It’s not the end of the world, and he’s not among the brightest, either. Back in the summer of 2007, in Saint-Tropez, I had a boatload of guests and we all went to a party given by the Rubin family in their villa. It was a very gay night, in the old-fashioned meaning of the word “gay,” and soon we were joined by a slutty-looking beauty from the Far East and the prince with the highest IQ on the planet, Andrew. He was polite but distant, concentrating on the slutty beauty. That’s when I told my friend Debbie Bismarck that Andy had no chance. “Just watch me,” I said.
I inched myself close to the babe in question, signaling to her that I needed to tell her something, and when she excused herself from Andy’s monologue, I informed her that the prince would not marry her nor keep her, but I instead, as a producer of Chinese Westerns, could employ her forthwith. She dropped him like the proverbial hot you-know-what. My friends were laughing, although some thought I had been rude to the prince. “Not at all,” I told them. “I know women, and he does not.”

Mind you, it didn’t take a genius to guess that the slutty one was slutty. Things did not turn out as planned because of my friend Nick Scott, who caught on quickly and sat beside me talking shop—Chinese Westerns—and making me laugh so hard that even the slutty one realized there was something wrong. Especially when Nick told her I had Bruce Lee killed for refusing a role. She went home alone, probably for the first time in her young life. Yes, as previously stated, Andrew is not the brightest of the bright; he is, however, smarter and more articulate than Jabrill Peppers, a man who attended academically demanding Michigan University for four years and now plays for the New York Giants, a football team of intellectuals. After a loss last week he addressed the press corps and said, “I ain’t really care about how ya’ll feel or how nobody feel.” I hope Peppers did not major in English, but if he did, I’m not surprised.

There are many dumb people around, and “270 million followers of Kylie Kardashian-Jenner buy her products, recently making her the second-youngest billionaire.” Here’s a rather plain to ugly-looking young woman who has 270 million idiotic followers and we go around calling Prince Andrew stupid.
“Looking at a Gauguin will not turn one into Epstein, but reading The New York Times or looking at the BBC will turn one into a soulless moron.”

Who was it that said one never goes broke underestimating the public’s taste? H.L. Mencken, the sage of Baltimore, that’s who, and the sage was no dummy. Epstein the child molester would never have gotten to him. Mencken was suspicious of “sudden” wealth, and Epstein’s sure was sudden. But are royals supposed to know the difference? When they stick to their own kind of people they’re called aloof and indifferent. When they mix with the recently arrived, they get into trouble sometimes. The “sweatless” one obviously fell for Epstein’s toys, but so did many others who should have known better and are now off the hook because two prison guards were surfing the internet for porn or bargains while persons unknown were applying instant sedation on the child molester. Maybe.

Yes, stupidity reigns supreme, especially when some female clown from London writes “Is it time to stop looking at Gauguin altogether?” Why? Because he fathered children with the young girls he lived with in Tahiti back in 1893. Back then young girls were betrothed and married at ages that now would land people in the pokey, like 13, and in France of all places. They still do it in Arab countries, but we’re not supposed to look at Gauguin paintings anymore. We genuflect in front of Gulf child molesters because they have lotsa moola, but we have no excuses for old Paul. It’s total and utter rubbish, as ridiculous as those in the West in the universities, the media, and the arts who are striving to dismantle our cultural and religious traditions. In the meantime, our European culture defenders are nowhere to be found, except in this publication. The intellectuals both here and in America are working to discredit our past, and while they’re at it, to demolish our future. Looking at a Gauguin will not turn one into Epstein, but reading The New York Times or looking at the BBC will turn one into a soulless moron.

Moral superiority is what the leftist, PC mob is looking for, hence all the crap about toxic masculinity, white privilege, Gauguin’s pictures, even Randy Andy’s stupidities. People are not all fools, and they should see through the bullshit and react to it. These cretins trying to rule our hearts and minds are in the majority, alas, especially in American universities, where the proportion of liberals to conservatives ranges from 8 to 1 to as much as 70 to 1. Oh yes, I almost forgot: Jeffrey Epstein was a big, big liberal, as were most of his friends like that lefty lawyer Dershowitz. Andrew should start hanging out with right wingers like myself, but in his case I’m not available. For some strange reason I prefer people with brains."

He is also threatening to do a "tell-all" interview if things don't "work out" and I think that is a very unwise thing to be out in public this early in the game.

He obviously has no idea how to negotiate and ultimately he is dealing with some potentially very dangerous people, maybe or maybe not The Queen herself but certainly the folks in the shadows that "help" maintain the royal family.

And on the heels of Andrew, negotiated correctly the couple might get most of what they want, keep acting liking spoilt children and they could be in for a rude shock.

The Baby is the insurance of a kind, but he isn't the heir and there are other great-grandchildren.

So he's they're essentially resorting to blackmail to get his their way.

Poor form.
That is being questioned now, as the "story" the boys are "estranged" has been said to be "false" (yeah right) I also noticed "the spin" today in the Daily Mail (great for gossip and some information) is more like "poor, loyal Harry he wants to be good but his wife is the new Wallace Simpson."

I am going to be very amused to see how this afternoon's meeting turns out, while sometimes hostile, I've noticed the Daily Mail often seems used by the Palace mavens to put out "feeler" stories in various directions.

It looks like "they" are trying to give Harry a way out, but I'm not sure he will take it (aka even if he doesn't divorce at least kind of blame things on his wife) I think it is probably too soon in the marriage for that to work - he does seem in love with her for better or worse.

But the plot of this novels thickens..

I totally agree, one Daily "Fail" article (an editorial piece) was along the lines of "The Queen and Charles will make Harry and Offer he Can't Refuse and he will stay in the UK"....hmmmm

Meghan Markle reportedly pushed for Megxit, Prince Harry ‘heartbroken’
By Lee Brown
January 13, 2020 | 8:23am

Prince Harry is “heartbroken” over quitting the royal familybut wife Meghan Markle pushed for Megxit because being a royal is “not working” for her, according to a report Monday.

As senior royals are set to meet Monday for crisis talks at the Queen’s country estate, Sandringham, Duke of Sussex Harry, 35, is still tormented at the idea of a permanent break and hopes instead for a “halfway house” giving him some involvement, sources told The Times of London.

Duchess of Sussex Meghan, 38, however, is still determined to leave, leaving her husband torn, a source close to them told the paper.

“She wants to leave,” a source told the UK paper. “She thinks, ‘It’s not working for me.’ He is under intense pressure to choose. It is sad.

“He loves the Queen. He loves this country. He loves all his military stuff. I think it will genuinely break his heart to leave.”

The source stressed, “I don’t think that’s what he really wants. I think they want some halfway house.”

The Times stressed that the fact Meghan only spent a few days in the UK before returning to Canada after their break there for the holidays showed her “determination to leave” her duties in the UK.

Before the planned summit Monday, the Queen has made it clear that she wants the Sussexes’ future settled within days, not weeks, The Times said.

Meghan is expected to join the discussion over the phone from Canada, where she is staying with baby Archie.

Senior royal officials, including private secretaries and press advisers, have spent two days locked in talks to work out various solutions to be put to the royal family at the summit, the report said.

Elton John reportedly knew about Prince Harry, Meghan quitting before the Queen

By Lee Brown
January 12, 2020 | 3:27pm

Sir Elton John knew about Megxit before the Queen, a report said Sunday.

The superstar singer was a “rock” for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as they debated their future in the royal family, speaking to the couple “every day” before they announced their plan to back off their senior duties, an insider told The Mirror. Sir Elton was a close friend of Harry’s late mother, Princess Diana.

The Sussexes — who also had Oprah Winfrey as a celebrity confidante — told the singer about their Megxit plans before they revealed them to Queen Elizabeth II, according to the report.

“He’s an inspiration, an almost ‘motherly’ figure,” a source told the paper of the pair’s close ties to Sir Elton.

“They made their decision alone, but he’s a shoulder to lean on and listened as they spoke about their plans,” the source said, calling Sir Elton “a constant support” for the couple.

A source close to Elton told the paper that the star “has been their rock.

“So while he would never tell them what to do, he has been a listening ear and support throughout,” the source said.

A spokesman for the singer later insisted to The Post, however, that Megxit still “came as a surprise” to him.

“The first that Elton heard of the details and timing of Harry and Meghan’s plans was when the announcement went up on their Instagram,” the spokesperson insisted.

A rep had told The Mirror that “Elton supports the fact Harry and Meghan are admirably taking control of their own lives.”

“He cares about them and their family deeply and is fully supportive of any decisions the couple make, knowing they are made by them alone, without outside influence and with their future happiness and well-being in mind,” the rep said.

Harry and Meghan don’t want to live in LA until Trump leaves office

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may be coming to America — but not until President Trump is out of office, a report said Sunday.

After their Megxit deal gets hashed out, the Daily Mail reported that the couple plan on living in Canada and eventually find a home and business in Los Angeles.

“It’s by no means an immediate thing but there is a long-term plan to end up back in the US with a second home in Canada, where they will also spend a great deal of time,” the source said.

But Markle, 38, has said she won’t move back while Trump is president, according to the Mail, citing her friends.

Ahead of the 2016 election, and before she married 35-year-old Harry, the former actress blasted Trump as divisive and misogynist on Comedy Central’s “The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore.”

She said at the time that she was considering remaining in Toronto, where she filmed the USA Network’s “Suits,” if Trump won.

During Trump’s state visit to the UK in June, he was asked about Markle’s comments and lashed back that “I didn’t know that she was nasty.”

He later clarified he meant the comments were nasty.

Neither Markle — who was on maternity leave after giving birth to the couple’s son Archie — or Harry made an appearance at the state banquet at Buckingham Palace during the visit. Harry did, however, attend a royal luncheon with Trump and first lady Melania Trump.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex dropped a bombshell last week when they announced plans to step back from their jobs as full-time royals, live in North America part-time, and attempt to financially support themselves.

“The couple used the words North America in their statement about where they planned to live deliberately. It doesn’t pin them down to any one place,” the source told the Mail.

Markle grew up in Los Angeles and her mother, Doria Ragland, still lives there.

Prince Harry, Meghan Markle may threaten Queen with tell-all Oprah interview

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may threaten a tell-all US TV interview to get their way at the royal summit.

Her American PR team is already in touch with major US networks and chat show queen Oprah Winfrey.

The couple could use the TV threat to try to secure a better deal at the Sandringham talks with the Queen, Prince Charles, and Prince William over their plans to step down from frontline royal duties.

A royal source said: “Harry and Meghan’s people have been reaching out to all the big US networks to explore the possibilities of a sit-down warts-and-all interview.

“Perhaps Harry and Meghan will use this as a negotiating tactic as there is no way the royals want their dirty laundry out in the open.

“Maybe they will get more money if they agree not to talk.”

The source said the couple want to “tell their side of the story” — adding: “Meghan feels she’s been silenced and is no longer prepared to be muted.

“She and Harry feel the royals have been racist and sexist. Her people are actively exploring opportunities.”

It is believed Meghan’s team has been in contact with ABC, NBC and CBS and celebrity chat show hosts such as Oprah.

She was a surprise guest at Harry and Meghan’s wedding and is known to be in contact with them. Meg’s mum Doria has been pictured leaving Oprah’s home.

Harry has already worked with Oprah for an Apple TV series on mental health.

Will add...I have been more or less neutral on the little Mrs. to this point, (pretty is as pretty does) but the fact that she doesn't have the cajones to be physically present at this meeting alongside Harry speaks volumes that ain't so complimentary.

Quite a few articles are now appearing stating that "half in and half out" is not an option. Basically saying if they leave their duties and responsibilities they are just going to have to keep going out the door which will shut behind them.

IMO Markle got what she went after, more fame, more fortune, and a child for even more $$$$$. She leads Harry around by the nose and he allows this. One day he may wake up and realize how this piece of gold digging trash fooled him and alienated him from his family.
