Thanks! Ordered a 200 count mix regular and wide mouth lids and gaskets, plus 50 red regular mouth lids w/gaskets; saved $48+ and free shipping! I'm going to enjoy having the red lids for tomatoes.

I'm debating red for meats. White for broth/stock. And green for fruits/veg. But first Home Depot has to return the $300 that they weren't supposed to remove from my checking account.

I have Tattler lids but had also gotten another brand that was recalled and/or taken off the market - think it was called 4Ever Recap. I didn't have problems with them sealing, but they were white and did stain when used for tomatoes.

My Dad got me a set of those. They were recalled because the silicon rings they used would release the vacuum of the jar. They did offer rubber replacement rings but I think that ended up causing them to shut down.

I think that I will order some extra rubber gaskets to have on hand - do you suppose that vaccum sealing them would help them stay good longer? I'm using my regular lids at present; would hate to go to use the rubber gaskets and find them all dried out.

I can't answer that. The reason is that I have boxes of rubber lids from the 80s that are still good. Never protected. Got them from garage sales and flea markets. They still work fine.

I have a set of the thinner rubber rings that I got a decade ago that are still working well.

So I'm clueless on that.

But they extended the sale, so I'm probably going to do an order after I pay bills next week. And extra seals will be part of that.

I went to the website and didn't see anything about the sale - do you happen to have a link to the extended sale info? I tried the FEB25 code; but it didn't work.

Thanks for heads up!
