WoT I looked out the window and saw fire

About an hour ago DH was getting ready for bed and looked out the bathroom window and saw fire. It was very scary, especially since we live in the woods. I called 911 and they already knew about it, it was a vehicle on fire and there were explosions. State Police, Natchitoches Sheriffs dept, and three fire trucks showed up. I gave DH the flashlight that I keep by the front door and off he went on his tractor, he thought if it was spreading in the woods he needed to go open the gate to the pipeline, fortunately it didn't get that far.

I grabbed the flashlight I keep by my computer and headed to the road, we are about 400 feet off a state highway, but secluded in the woods. I thanked the LEOs for their service and chatted with them for a few minutes and came back home.

All this reminded me to refresh my go bag.

Glad you're safe. Car fires are happening all over the place nowadays. Some people in my family have had a few narrow escapes-car fires near their home and lots of trees nearby.

Go to any forestry website and look up "fire mitigation" and apply the advice according to your situation.
