It would make sense if his father was a jew and his mother only converted to judaism. So if this is the case, even though he may have been raised jewish, an orthodox rabbi would not consider him a jew from what I have learned growing up. I am a Roman Catholic and my mother converted to Catholicism to marry my dad but she is still the g g grand daughter of Jacob Rohrer who was known as the Cantor of Berne (Switzerland). My late grandma would have considered him a real 'shegetz' for his public behavior. V

I thought IOUSA guaranteed freedom of religion and the pursuit of happiness.
Wouldn't the "pursuit of happiness" include the right of marriage by choice ?

The point is to make every bad thing that any American does a Muslim problem- even if they are Jewish....uh....especially if they are Jewish.
Your point is well-taken, but I don't think anyone was suggesting that their marriage was a Constitutional issue. I took the question to be whether the weenie might not have loyalties to other than the United States.
BTW, that quote is not from the preamble to the Constitution.

Most likely both Mr. Weiner and Mrs. Weiner are not "practicing" any religion. They may attend a church service once in a while to put on a front, but their childhood religion has most likely been long forgotten.

People talk about Muslim as if it's simply a religion. It's more, (MUCH more) than that. It's a political party that controls every aspect of their members lives. Therein lays the danger.
If Weiners wife is a practicing Muslim, then why is she so close to Hilary Clinton??? Is this a way to get a Muslim close to the person they think may become POTUS?
There are already Muslims in high places. Is this how they got there (by getting close to future politicians and rising with them?) This situation makes me highly suspicious of Clinton.

Lectrickitty....I too have wondered very seriously about that "friendship/work relationship". I don't think it speaks well for our U.S. safety. As to the little gerkin...who cares...he should be gone soon.
