I bottled my tinctures, Elder w/ brandy (6 cups) into one bottle and used Tilia Food Saver Stoppers. Same w/ Elder/vodka, only used 2 bottles w/ stoppers. My question is what to put on the label? Is this ok? Any suggestions? TIA !!!
Elderberry Extract – Brandy
For cold and flu prevention: (Adult) Take one-half teaspoon of extract or one to two teaspoons of syrup twice daily.
For treating colds and flu: (Adult) Take one teaspoon of extract or one tablespoon of syrup four times a day.
To make a syrup: DON"T COOK!! Simmer gently - high heat will offset the medicinal properties, low heat won't. Simmer (barely bubbling) for 15-20 minutes with sugar or honey, the bottle and keep in the fridge.
Contains: 1/3 Elder berries whole dried [Sambucus nigra] to 2/3 Brandy 80 proof
