Trump did, in fact, make history when he became only one of four U.S. presidents to visit a NASCAR event and only the second sitting president to do so, but some liberals online are more bothered that the president “broke another law.”


These liberals are arguing President Trump broke the law on Sunday afternoon, during his visit to the Daytona International Speedway, when he took his presidential limousine—”the Beast”—a full lap around the track.

The car is essentially a 20' box truck on wheels. It's 11 tons of road hugging weight, but the actual driving of the vehicle isn't that hard from what I've been told. Think of it as driving a box truck and you're ok. She could drive it but I'd give her plenty of space to either side of the car.
The special training is for all the special goodies inside the vehicle. James Bond's Aston Martin DB4 can't hold a candle to the beast; the main thing is operating the environmental systems. That car is a hermetically sealed capsule when the doors are shut (think of the stuff that goes on when you close a bank vault door-same thing here). If that system isn't running prior to entrance people would suffocate very shortly after the doors are closed. The cabin air filter on that thing must be massive-think HEPA filters as used in level 4 bio containment labs. Think the trunk is where the environment system is. The car is armored better than an MRAP vehicle. Also, did anyone catch the fact the car's front and rear have been restyled to reflect more modern Cadillac models? Betting the front and rear fascia were done in metal, rather than plastic on normal cars. That takes a HUGE amount of work.
Think that's the first time the new fascias have been shown publicly. The main and backup car shown Sunday have the new front and rear; I don't know if the others have been updated yet. They park these beasts at the Washington Navy Yard, closeby to the Washington Nationals baseball stadium in SE DC.
