Losing the slut vote is what killed Romney's chances?

"The Democrats tried to make this election about a single issue: The right to slut. Or more precisely, the right to slut without the responsibility of consequences."

"One thing one has to remember about women, especially slutty ones: They usually don’t make decisions based on reason," he writes, after explaining that sluts want to get abortions so they can be slutty and childless, but that they also want to leech off of welfare to raise welfare babies, which is of course a totally reasoned flow of logic.

Apparently, this is not a satire.

"This election cycle shows that the Slut Vote is real, and Republicans lose because they discount the existence of original sin in women," writes B-Skillet. "Abortion is often called the 'third rail of American politics,' but in truth, the third rail is a woman’s right to slut (with cash and prizes)."

Here is his Twitter account. Both the blog and the other previously-identified social media accounts have gone private; only the webcache remains. A longer excerpt follows.

The famous “gender gap” isn’t really a gap based on gender. The right overwhelmingly wins older and married women. The “gender gap” should more accurately be called the slut vote.

Women make up about 54% of the electorate. It is very hard to win without winning that segment, or at least losing it only narrowly while winning men big. While the right usually wins married women, the fact is that married women constitute an ever-decreasing share of the female population. Women want to delay marriage as long as possible so they can “have it all,” and usually “have it all” means “have as much hot alpha sex as possible without any consequences.” And thus, less married women and more sluts (not that these two groups are mutually exclusive, per se)

And that’s where the Democrats come in. Contrary to common belief, the primary reason the Democrats own the black vote has nothing to do with civil rights. The Democrats were only partially supportive of civil rights in the 60′s (with southern Democrats advocating “segregation forever”). Lincoln was a Republican, and Republicans in the House and Senate voted for civil rights legislation in the 60s.

Rather, Democrats have won the black vote because the black community is dominated by illegitimacy, and the Democrats are willing to subsidize and support that illegitimacy (as well as provide access to cheap abortions) so as to take away from sluts the consequences of their actions. Consequently, young black people grow up on the dole and not only never realize there might be something wrong with that, but eventually come to believe that’s the way it should be. The Democrats have won the black vote by first “empowering” single black mothers.

This is now beginning to happen in white suburbia, except unlike women in the urban black community, white suburban sluts start from a place of relative wealth and privilege (daddy’s little princess). Thus, food stamps–and increased rewards for having illegitimate kids while on food stamps–don’t (yet) appeal to them.

So instead Obama appealed to rich white sluts by forcing someone else (the Catholic church, in this case) to pay for their birth control, and by scaring them about alleged threats to their ability to take advantage of Planned Parenthood’s services (Planned Parenthood being conveniently located in the minority part of town, of course, so as to provide anonymity to visiting white girls whose white girl friends never go over there–except to visit Planned Parenthood themselves). This created a wedge issue in the suburban community that allowed Obama to play more strongly there than he might have if the election ended up purely about the economy or the national debt.

One thing one has to remember about women, especially slutty ones: They usually don’t make decisions based on reason. So all the Obama administration had to do was scare them that Mitt Romney was going to take away their birth control and their access to abortion. The fear for them is that, without birth control and abortion, they might actually get pregnant and have to give birth. That is scary not simply because of the economic burden of having a child (since, hey, they can get all kinds of cash and prizes if that happens), but because if that happened then everyone would know they’re sluts, and their image as daddy’s pure little snowflake princess goes out the window.

The right loses the female vote primarily because so many of them still operate from a feminist world-view: Women are pure, perfect, kind, and altruistic, and the only reason they “get into trouble” is that some evil, conniving, manipulative man tricked them into sleeping with the entire football team.

Who knows, maybe it was a really good parody.

Who is this woman hater? How comes there is no term for a man slut? Oh Yeah, it's the old double standard. All those sluts are getting pregnant by themselves. The stupid woman was this guys mother.

I'd say that's a lot of it.

All the pro-abortion crowd have an attitude that basically boils down to:

"Go out and f*** whoever you want, whenever you want, as much as you want. If you happen to get pregnant you can always just kill it."

:(

There will be a LOT of offense taken to this because so many will be able to identify with it and deny it to their last breath.

If I were over-exposed to that kind of drivel I'm sure that I would become a feminist liberal.

It's perplexing that some men still think like that - as most often we only witness it in news stories about muslems.

Yeah, I see the parody here...

Neanderthal like thinkers should go join islaam where they're more reflective of their views.

They can blow themself up too, they'll have a blast! ;)

There is a candidate of personal responsibility based on limited government. It would get a percentage over 50% of the voters if presented by TPTB on the GOP ticket. Disenfranchising true conservatives and those willing to posses the freedom to destroy themselves, over loosing to Gibmedats votes is an ideology I'll never understand.

But hey who wants to win anymore?

Not to worry, the "women" voters just brought the neandertal muslims to America - must be something they crave.

This isn't about who's a slut Troke. This is all about woman bashing pure and simple... with these comments from the article;

One thing one has to remember about women, especially slutty ones: They usually don’t make decisions based on reason

Sluts were not the exception in this insult, they were included in with ALL women.

and Republicans lose because they discount the existence of original sin in women," writes B-Skillet.

So the author is calling both unmarried women and married women sluts.

He generalizes women (that means ALL women) want to delay marriage so they can have lots of sex. If he only used the word "some women" it would have changed the whole meaning of his message.

And my definition of a slut is - a female who wants to be a manwhore's f*** toy.

I do know one thing that is true, parody aside, Catholic women did vote for O because they want access to FREE birth control. A woman in my family, who has her home paid off, great job, a considerable savings, and supposedly fab insurance, rejoiced at the prospect of free well woman exams and birth control pills. She was.positively enthralled to get to her OB/Gyn as soon as this part of the mandate kicks in. I asked why I had to pay for a service that I don't believe in or use is benefitting her when she can darn well afford it without the govt. This entire country has the gibsmedat mentality, even so called white professional women.

The parody is farcical, that is to say RIDICULOUS, preposterous, ludicrous, absurd, laughable, risible, nonsensical; senseless, pointless, useless; silly, foolish, idiotic, stupid, hare-brained;
.
.
.
And mostly true.

Well, ya know...most women do not make choices by reason, they do it by how it makes them feel. The bulk of females do this, which is why so many are liberals. If they operated via reason, logic and fact, they would not be liberal, facts have no place in their world. Not all women are this way, I'd say the majority of them here on TB are not, but we really are in the minority. Ask an obot why she voted for oboingo. He's cute. He's for hope and change. He's for "forward" (ask them what hope, change and forward mean, they don't know). He will give us stuff. Facts? Logic? Not in oboingo land.

Something I've noticed is, even rich people love getting free stuff. Look at the Academy Awards gift baskets, stuffed to the hilt with uber spendy free crap, and the people rave about them, even though they can well afford the baskets and the companys making them. It's not just the obots.

Don't forget tax payer funded "free" abortions along with "free" birth control pills/contraception and "gay" marriage. We neandertals are opposed to having women sujected to sharia law unlike those men who think all the above is for women who have the highest ideals and are basically "Christian". Oh yeah, neandertal men are knuckle draggers like that.

The term 'slut' no longer has any meaning. It has been co-opted by the life style of a significant portion of the unmarried female set. When Rush called Fluke a 'slut', it was an insult with no meaning. It would not be possible to use it in any means of communication concerning current life styles because the recipient would have no idea what information you were trying to get across.

It is kind of like the revelation you feel when you suddenly realize that the person you are taking with thinks that chastity is a major personality defect.

So I guess all of this stereotypical woman bashing includes all of you guys' mothers too. Real nice guys.
Sort of like the sterotypical and predicted offense taken to an article that painted women who voted like their "lady parts" depended on it - right?
Most of our mothers did not feel it was the govenment's job to provide them with the cornucopia of pregancy prevention.
Ahem . . . cue the back alley deaths of women who died from botched abortions. Next, well - the world would be better off if they DID have massive and much publicized "right" to kill their babies and to demand "free" birth control.

The very childish (boy's bathroom humor) of the article aside, Packyderm's wife has a point (even though it is actually funny) but it wasn't just Big Bird. It was the rape comments, not just the first idiot that parroted that false theory about "legitimate" rape not causing pregnancy (I first heard that piece of non-sense from a Southern US Pastor in the 1970's and I wondered how long it would float around in certain circles). Any even slightly educated person does not judge an entire party by one miss-informed yahoo; but friends of mine (female) who are not sluts but middle-of-the-road moderates (who might vote either way) were horrified when instead of distancing from this guy a number of (male) candidates made it worse by seeming to agree with him. Even worse was their suggesting that rape victims somehow are just girls who "can't say no, who say no when it is too late" (I just made that up but it seemed the basic idea of several actual quotes I read) made it even worse.

I think it is impossible for women to get to a certain age in this world (even in the relatively sheltered life of Upper-Class North America) without knowing someone friend or family member who has tragically been exposed to rape (and sometimes resulting pregnancy) in one way or another. If it hasn't happened to her personally, it has happened to someone she knows and then there are the "near-miss" situations that many of us have experienced both during our courting years and from scary strangers.

I had a close friend in college who was a divorced mother tell me one night how a man broke into her home when her daughter was still in the cradle. He pointed at the baby, took a knife out and then held it up to her, then without speaking pointed at the bed. She didn't fight him, she was terrified he would kill her child, so she let him "have his way" as she said later;

"I was a married women, the sex part wasn't that terrifying but thinking he would kill my baby was; what he did to me in that moment wasn't nearly so important as what happened to my child."

This young women was a highly religious Christian (her husband left her) and thankfully did not get pregnant from this encounter; though it did scar her emotionally in terrible ways (you could just tell). It was one reason she preferred to have a 16 year old college student spend weekends over at her place so she wasn't alone with the child.

Her "not saying no" was to protect her child, not because she "wanted" to be raped at knife-point by a stranger who invaded her home.

The garbage being spewed by those men (I won't call them gentlemen) running for office, both sickened and scared a lot of women away from the Republican party if they were fence-sitting.

Birth control is NOT the same debate as abortion (except for some groups who feel both are wrong) though the issue of "free" birth control may be. However, in my book the best way to prevent abortion is to have good access to birth control for both men and women.

Few or no unwanted pregnancies means that abortion need only be considered for certain types of medical conditions (including saving the life of the Mother) or rape/incest. Many good people disagree on if even those should be legal (I want it medical decisions to be made with my doctor but that is just me) but it is a different issue from the free/low-cost birth control debate.

As is the third issue of "if women can not have access to abortions and birth control; who pays for the children if they can't afford to raise them?" yet another question but that's for another thread.

Woman-bashing.... LOL. Women can't handle the truth. In general, women think like.... uhhh.... well, women. They lead with emotion and ridicule logic. They lean on feelings while denying facts. They see things that are close and refuse to see things in the distance. Now, this is a broad generalization, true. I generally generalize about broads. So, if you take offense to this, you are probably one of the many and not part of the few who actually think and reason.

The proof of what I am saying will be the knee-jerk reaction of emotionalism. Naturally, I have not said anything about men- most of whom I hold in similar low regard.... but I want to see who steps into the trap with their enormous emotional foot.

Well up until 30 years ago there was among human beings a certain sense of decency. "Gay" was considered a mental illness. If a mans daughter or sister had sex with someone outside of marriage it was a shame. This was the way almost everyone thought. The nation was a good place to live. We respected it.

If that article was supposed to be a parody I think it makes perfect sense. There does need to be a "slut" word for men.

Interesting I must be genetically male then because I've been accused, and repeatedly, by family, OC even, my friends, etc. as being cold, distant, lacking in empathy at times, and too logical, and very often too detail oriented. It's taken a lifetime to temper these traits, but in general I have no use for people who are given over to their emotions. I tend to view others who are overly emotional as nutz, but then that's just me, everyone else around me see those folks as normal. OC tells me that I don't suffer fools gladly.

I had to unfriend a LOT of people on FB in the past few days due to their emotional tantrums they were throwing on their wall, my wall, anybody's wall who they thought would listen, all because they were terrified that romalamadingdong would win. When I assured them that O' would most assuredly win they went ballistic on me, calling me names, etc. Life is too short to put up with that kind of drama, and on a daily basis.

For the past four decades, birth control has been freely available. So have abortions, although not generally for free. Health departments and schools provide free contraceptives for anyone who asks, the schools give them to the students as young as Jr. High. Probably much younger now. So, contraceptives are widely available at little or no cost. How was that even an issue, unless to make practice included in "inalienable rights?"

But I don't really buy the notion that it was the free abortion issue that won the vote. We tend to underestimate the powerful influence of carefully crafted propaganda. We call them campaign ads. They are not designed to provide facts to support a particular position, but rather to induce a desired visceral reaction. Around here, we notice such things, but a great many Americans are basically clueless. They will vote based on the feelings elicited by those ads. Imagine the humor in seeing Bill Clinton saying,"You don't want a president who would lie to you, do you?" Yet, many voters see no inconsistency in his words.

Forget about the fraud. We are faced with the gargantuan task of trying to fix stupid.

Story over.

Where you been? You didn't see the campaign unfold?

R had three strengths.

1. Personal life
2. Business and public service experience
3. Governmental experience.

No way to attack #1, squeaky clean, so clean he kind of looked unreal and that was purveyed in the pundit columns.

#2. By the time he was nominated it was common knowledge that he had made his millions denying dying women the health services to save their lives.

#3. Wimp, flip-flopper, you know the drill.

It was all there, right in front of your eyes if you looked. And the public did.

My proof? After the first debate, the number of people who said/wrote: "Gee, he seemed like a regular guy."

I wonder where they got the idea he wasn't?

And on the Right was the constant drumbeat that he was no different than Obama. And they believed that and stayed home.

So between the two, he got beat.

Oh yes, he had 47% against him right up front which made it an up hill battle. But I think it was winnable. Heck, if I read correctly, all he had to do was equal McCain's numbers and he would have won.

But they stayed home as was advised by several people on this forum.

Thanks alot, falla's.

Abolish the 19th and this whole thread would be moot.

Abolish the 19th and the candidates wouldn't have to be worried about a full head of hair or any touchy feelly issues.

Abolish the 19th and bring reason back into the voting booth.
