was wondering of anyone has one of these and what they think.

it is for making infused butter, tinctures, oils. seems to have a good rep and people love it for the ease of making their items. i broke down and ordered on for the cannabis medicines i make, it will make things go alot faster and easier for sure.

Wonderful when it works, but the warned us and we took the risk anyway - don't buy one if you live overseas until they get the actual European models up and running; ours ran on a converter for about two months, then it died.

I haven't checked recently to see if there's a European version yet, they were planning on making one; but the current differences are just too much for it without an actual 220 system put in.

Otherwise, I can't say enough good things about it.

thanks, im really looking forward to trying it out. i think it will be a great help in making things. im sorry your didnt work out, would they not replace it or did you buy it on a place without warranty -amazon and ebay? i read that, to have the warranty you can only buy it from original website. so thats what i did and found a coupon too.

They said (the company that makes them - we bought direct) that we wouldn't get a warranty if we had one shipped to Europe because they were aware of the current issues; so we knew in advance it might not work out.

I suspect once we get caught up on some other bills, I'll check and see if the European version has been sorted out yet - most appliances run just fine on converters but my hunch is that there is something about the motor on this one that it just can't handle it (I don't really understand this stuff, but I know converters are not perfect and not all machines can take the variations especially if the voltage suddenly goes to high).

But they are great machines - warning they have "disco lights" you can't turn off, husband didn't care for that but the cats thought it was great fun to chase the "moving light things." lol

melodi, depending on what you wanted to use the machine for, if it is to use alcohol as solvent for plant based material to strip out the important stuff, one can use an average counter top water distiller and even reclaim alcohol from the run. im sorry the unit did not work well for you over there.
i make a couple cannabis medicine recipes and i think this will be a big help to me in cutting doen processing time.

hi rayku,
starry night - van gogh.
i picked this image cause i like van goghs work especially this one, to me it is very striking and somewhat wistful in a way. besides, he was as crazy as a bed bug and suffered alot, he still made beautiful stuff throughout his life despite it all. i admire that. in our suffering we can destroy or create.

we all struggle. we all suffer, we are all broken and damaged in some way. what we do with it is whats important.

he made incredibly beautiful paintings.
we all can make incredibly beautiful Somethings in our life even if its in dribs and drabs for decades and the full masterpiece is not revealed until the end of our life.
just my opinion

Oh we have other ways of doing what the machine did, but the machine (when it was working) just made it easier...I highly recommend the Magic Butter Machine as long as you live in North America.

I think converters either rectify, cutting out half of the heating power, for things like curling irons. Others actually step down the voltage with a transformer and are probably better for electronics and motors. 50hz v 60hz is another matter, if it’s crucial then there has to be design changes to accommodate the slower speed.

Starry, starry night
Paint your palette blue and gray
Look out on a summer's day
With eyes that know the darkness in my soul
Shadows on the hills
Sketch the trees and the daffodils
Catch the breeze and the winter chills
In colors on the snowy linen land
Now I understand what you tried to say to me

Well they warned us and it died, but it sure worked great while it lasted.

Looks like they could standardize the generator rpm and voltage within all the developed countries. Sure is a mess.

For example, the British operate at 3000 rpm generators which produces 50 cycles and the US 3600 rpm and 60 cycles. If I remember correctly, the V used by the British is 220? single phase; and the US is 120 V single phase.
Not sure what your converter is designed to do, but any electrical appliance is designed to operate at +- 10 % of rated Voltage.

Found it.
United Kingdom (UK)
230 V
50 Hz
G
United States of America (USA)
120 V
60 Hz
