CORP/BIZ My new trailer lock finally released for sale

Thinwater

Firearms Manufacturer
I have the provisional patent filed and 100 of these made, ready for sale. This is the third product that I invented to replace gun parts at our manufacturing facility as sales of those parts continues to decline and remain a huge loss every month.

We added a new web site www.trailergearbox.com because www.tacticalmachining.com is basically blacklisted from Facebook, Google and most any "Normal" online advertising.

Hopefully these will sell, they are expensive to make and in the same price range as "Proven" brand locks but nothing like this has ever been made to lock a trailer with. It starts out as a 9 lb block of aluminum billet, a 1" 304 stainless steel inside locking bar and four 5/8" x 4" 304 stainless steel locking pins.

Most locks attach to the trailers coupler and the bigger commercial trailers commonly have an adjustable coupler that can simply be unbolted and a new one installed for a fast, quiet get away.

My daughter did a tic toc video on the trailer gearbox that we make and had over 1 million views over a single weekend. She just put one up for this.

Please check out the links and let me know if anyone sees a mistake. I tend to see what I think I wanted to see when I proofread these things.

Doing my bit by forwarding to local construction and landscaping companies both here and at our BOL area. If it garners you even one sale, I consider it time well invested.
Thank you!

The gearboxes are selling well, we invested deeply in a high dollar lathe to make the locks before we sold a single one or did any "Market research". The market research will be "Did we sell any".

the next step is letting everyone know about this product. I think you have a market, but those who need it can't buy it if they don't know it exists!

Exactly!

At lease people search the internet for "Trailer lock" but since the Trailer Gear box has never existed before, no one knows to search for it. We have to advertise, a lot, to get it out there but the sales reflect that effort.

So now you have to send letters to people that make or sell trailer's and see if they want this kind of hitch and really having an adjustable hitch like that is worth it just to have it properly setup for the Truck or SUV your using.

Now that looks interesting. Trailer thefts have been semi rampant around here. I didn't know that the coupler could be removed. I will look for that when I go to get a trailer. And a camper. As I can't afford for either to disappear once I can finally afford to buy them.

I have a few more unique trailer related products that I will draw up and post on Time Bomb to see what you all think. I am currently using under 10 percent of our machine capacity making the gearboxes and locks right now.

We have several large horizontal production mills, 2 live tooling turning centers, a 5 axis mill, 4- 4 axis mills, a Flow waterjet with 5 axis head, a press brake, cnc plasma cutter and a large horizontal broach. I need to cone up with enough stuff to keep most of the machines running.

Are these just for the big RV and travel trailers?

Or would they be overkill for a small utility trailer?

If you're going to market this to retailers shoot it over to these guys.

I've haven't delt with them in years but these are a great bunch of paesano's selling tools and equipment to the trades and they are in the hood.

That looks like a winner. The dump trailer that I just bought has an adjustable tongue like that and I see them becoming more common for toy haulers. Demand should only increase with time.

You need a list of every dealer inthe country that sells trailers, campers, boat trailers, etc. Then show them what you have !!

If I still lived in an area where I would be worried about a trailer being stolen I would not hesitate to buy one. Even here in the woods I do not trust people. Dh has a nice enclosed trailer and I talked him into parking it between the end of the house and the she shed. Its kind of obsecured and not noticable like it would be out by the barn and his other homemade trailers. That enclosed trailer made several trips from Illinois to here when he was moving to Louisiana.

Consider looking into what a modest ad program on RFD TV would cost/entail. LOTS of people with expensive trailers and equipment watch their channel...

I just ordered one. I haven't been using my dump trailer as much as I thought I would and decided to try putting it out by the road with a "For Rent" sign, and want it to still be out there when I wake up in the morning.
