We have and have had for decades several old (1800's to early 1900's) windup clocks. I'm hoping by removing the weights/pendulum and using the locking mechanism for the works, it will be in good operating shape when we arrive back home.know enough about grandfather type clocks to be dangerous >>> be as gentle as you want - and - you're still going to need a tech to get that f___king sucker working right again - just scooting them across the same room floor is bad enough - you always add that tech cost into buying a used one ....
you call your local car dealerships about a rental? - some are into that biz - you might be surprised at the $$$$
Hadn't thought about an actual car dealer for a rental, will look into that later today,
Thank you !
