That whole area upstate is amazing. The natural beauty combined with the rich history. It's a shame they're slowly erasing it.

As for me, I'm just hoping to give it an additional lease on life with new media.

AS I understand it, when they built the reconstructed Ft. Stanwix, they had to move the reconstruction about 500 meters to one side. NO (and I mean ABSOLUTELY zero-zilch-nada swinging Richard) was willing to take on the effort to remove the Rome Club which they WOULD have had to move for histor(er)ical accuracy because the large tree surrounded by Rome Club parking lot was a recognized landmark FOR the Fort.....

And if ya did any local research, ya already KNOW that there are enough Powers That Be in Rome (still ABOVE the grass) to make THAT demolition politically and socially impossible.

I saw memorial plaques in upstate NY that would get their own historical marker in Texas, based on their age.
