Hello everyone!

We’ve been reading TB2K for years and now finally have time to participate.

We’re retired and living a mobile lifestyle, and loving it, mostly following the sun.

We like to park off the beaten track, take pictures, read books, and we’re also unabashed movie buffs, and we enjoy getting our news from TB2K.

Thank you for allowing us to join your community!

The Wise Man Prepares
in my customer service job, I deal with a lot of black people. And just for your information. The majority of them are nicer and easier to deal with than whites. How savage are blacks? No more than whites.

Well, I'm not new, but haven't been here for a few years. Life just got kind of busy. Looking forward to touching base with those I remember, and keeping up with what is happening in the world, that mainstream news, ignores.

Well hello there. Not really sure how to address everyone. Because I've been lurking for over 10 yrs, I feel like I'm talking to a bunch of old friends that have never met me and have no freakin' idea who I am. I'm looking forward to finally crawling out from under the radar!

Question: Is it appropriate for me to start a thread explaining why I finally joined after all these years?

I have a couple of reasons and one of them might turn into a Q & A thread after you hear why. One of them is a specific event that happened 2 1/2 yrs ago that I was personally involved with that made international MSM news and was discussed here on TB2K.

I don't want to hijack the introduction thread...

1984 is not fiction.
Hi, I was a member a long time ago. Then life did one it's many twists and turns and I never posted. Within 7 years, I lost my father, my husband, a close family friend, then my mother, and lastly my best friend of 50 years this past August. It was a rough go for awhile. This forum helped me through so many hard times, you don't know. You all seem to genuinely care. Thanks for having me on board!

Welcome, School Marm!

I'm curious about your 'handle'---were /are you a schoolteacher, or perhaps (like me) a homeschool mom? (I've been both, actually)

Welcome, and I look forward to your posts!

Nothing unreal exists
Hi friends. I've been lurking at least as far back as 2005. Thank you for opening the door when I knocked.

I hope to have something of value to add to the group from time to time.

My sources say that the storm is about to hit. We will have to see.

Either way, Peace.

Sorry, just saw this today. School marm has a double meaning--I've been homeschooling for 15 years, and I write the Prep School Daily blog.

Thanks for the warm welcome!

Remote Paramedical pain in the ass
Greetings! Long time listener, first time caller. I read the post by Dennis regarding a drop in numbers and figured 10+ years was long enough to just read. I am retired military, currently still working for the Government. Current job is teaching prehospital combat medicine for remote environments. prior job was the one in my handle. 10 combat and or humanitarian deployments and 26 years of Adult teaching experience as well as civilian and Uncle Sams training for remote survival and medicine.

Im here to keep learning and maybe throw a bit in while within my lane

Welcome Ryken, JasmineAndLace, and ComCamGuy, we're very happy to have you with us here!

ComCamGuy, I realize that you're probably tired of even thinking about work related topics in your (rare) free time, but if the spirit ever moves you, the subject of prehospital combat medicine for remote environments is one that would be of immense value for everyone here to know more about. I hope that you'll start of thread on various aspects from time to time, or even be up to a Q&A occasionally.

Meanwhile the site has much to explore and is packed with useful insights on everything from current events to gardening and cooking, so hop on in and enjoy!

Long time lurker here for news and commentary, the likes of which you won't find anywhere else. Not often vocal, but when the situation arises I hope to add insight to topics that are of interest.

Glad to have a voice after so many years of listening.
