Well, I figured out how to burn a working copy of
Fahrenheit 9/11. Turns out I did not have to convert it to an .iso file at all. Also, my copy of Nero Express simply could not burn a good copy of this from a .bin/.cue or .iso.
For those interested....
You will need a high-speed internet connection (even fast dialup will not cut it), a CD burner and over 2Gb of free hard disk space. You will also need a couple software pacakges, all of which you can download for free:
-----
BitTornado bittorrent download client:
http://bt.degreez.net/
-----
burnatonce CD burner:
http://www.burnatonce.com/
-----
WinRar .zip file utility:

Okay, once you have installed your new software, go to this site:
http://208.37.27.97/sn2//list_torrents/232.html
I downloaded the
'27-06 : Fahrenheit 911 CAM-POT' file. The BitTornado dialog box will pop up when you click on the title you wish to download. WRITE DOWN PRECISELY WHICH FILE YOU DOWNLOADED. Click on the 'Open' button, not 'Save' (trust me on this). You will be prompted for the path to your download folder, and once you select that, the download will begin.
If the download stops for any reasons, just go back and click on the same filename at the download site, and the download will resume again from where you left off. You do not have to start over from scratch. It took me nearly seven hours to download the movie through a DSL connection.
What you will get in your downloaded files folder is a folder containing two subfolders (mine were labeled 'CD1' & 'CD2') and a couple info files you can ignore. The two subfolders contain a series of WinRar .zip files.
Now you need to create a directory where your movie is to be saved, with two subdirectories for the image files of the two CDs you are going to create. Open your download folder, open the downloaded folder, then open the 'CD1' folder. Ignore the files with numbers in the file extension, and find the one ending in .rar . Right-click on that one, and select 'Extract Files. WinRar will ask you for the path to where you want the files extracted. Point it to one of the two subdirectories you created to store the movie in. The file extraction will take quite a while, so be patient. When you are done, repeat the process with the second downloaded subfolder, 'CD2'. Now that you have done this, you should have a .bin and a .cue file in each of the subfolders you created.
Okay, now start up burnatonce to burn your CDs. Put a blank CD in your burner. Click on 'File >> Load New Image' on the burnatonce toolbar. Find the subdirectory you created for the first CD, and double-click on the 'CD1.cue' file. That filename should then appear in the box at the top of the burnatonce screen. Click on the 'Write' button, and it should start to burn your CD. Repeat for the other CD.
If you put the CDs you created into most DVD players, they will just play (although they are not DVDs - they are .mpeg video). If you are using a video media player on your PC to watch the movie, when you try to open the CD you may just get a bunch of file folders. Go to the 'MPEGAV' folder and double-click on the 'AVSEQ01.dat' file, and the CD will start to play.
These instructions are to create a two-CD .mpeg video set. The quality is poor, but it is quite watchable. If you have any further questions on this, please PM them to me so as not to load up this thread with any more off-topic stuff than needed. There is also a DVD file of
Fahrenheit 9/11 that can be downloaded on the same bittorrent download site, but I do not know how to create DVDs from a .bin/.cue download, so you will have to ask others for help on that if you need it.
Anyways, hopefully this will allow everyone to see the movie, and help stimulate discussion of this agitprop hit piece.
