It's amazing to me how they are already calling the states when the polls just started closing 20 minutes ago.

I just think this is assinine and I always have. I just don't see how it's possible to call races with 1% of precincts reporting.

Well, there's the red flag, now how far will you run with it?

* Computerized counting, i.e., secret counts
* Private corporations selling and maintaining voting software/hardware protected by patents and copyright law
* Recall the Voter News Service scandal of 2000, where the masses found out what the Collier brothers knew back in 1994, that all the networks get their "scoops" and "cutting edge analysis" from the same damn source.

Our vote is not much more than an illusion these days.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. presidential race between Republican President Bush and Democrat John Kerry in the crucial swing state of Ohio is too close to immediately call, U.S. television networks said.

Fox, NBC and CBS networks said they could not call the race shortly after voting ended in the state, one of the most important prizes in the 2004 race.

Both candidates had campaigned repeatedly in Ohio, which had backed Bush narrowly in 2000, and flooded it with political advertisements.

Ohio has 20 votes in the Electoral College, which selects the president based on results in each state. A candidate needs 270 electoral votes to win the White House.

Heck no, I don't mind. Don't pay me any attention. I am just in a really good mood tonight. I'm feeling down right playful in fact!
