Thank you, Pac, for taking the time to share Evie and the gang with us. Your stories have certainly been a bright spot for me, a place to escape and be entertained and uplifted for a little while during the day.

Glad to hear your husband is making progress and enjoy your time with the grandkids.

Thank you for writing and sharing this wonderful story with us! Maybe once things settle back down again, your writing time will return and we will once again be blessed to read another story from you. In the mean time, I pray you both continue to have the strength and stamina it takes to raise three youngsters. I know ours are more often than not, a joy to have around. But that's a grandma's point of view and I'm sticking to it :)

Thank you for sharing your story with us. Your grandchildren are going to have fantastic story times if you choose to weave some of your own tales for them.

My last post above was supposed to be after the chapter before this one.

I have enjoyed this story and the others you have written as well. It was always a pleasure to find new chapters day after day, you are so talented. It sounds as if your life is taking a new direction and I know your grandchildren will be blessed for having you closer in their lives. I hate to see the story end but thank you so much for sharing it.

Dear Pac, life for you has certainly shifted. It really is TEOTWAWKI when grandkids come to live with you (this I know from experience). So now you shift gears and go in a different direction. Glad your hubby has stabilized and things are going well for him. In time, you will discover, as Evie has, that there are many joys in being a grandma with kids in tow. I wish you much happiness with your grandkids.

Thank you for sharing this story with us. It has been both a delight and a heart wrencher at the same time. You have a very fertile imagination and we will look forward to the time when you are able to share your creative writing abilities with us once again. God bless.

Thank you all for the kind wishes. We are in the process of adding extra bedrooms onto our house, so now I get a little experience in the building trades.

Oh, by the way. Did I mention Jennings McCann and his family are moving to Evergreen? He comes equipped with four children, a wife that just happens to build houses and a widowed father named Davis. Tease, tease, tease..........................

I've got to let you know, each time a reader made a comment it was like giving water to a parched woman. It simply fuels more and more ideas. Plus, it's a sneaky way to get an Adrenalin rush!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well that was certainly unexpected, but with the direction your life is taking, we do understand. I am selfish enough to say that I hope once the kids have gotten settled in, you'll have at least a little time for writing your wonderful stories. You already have me looking forward to meeting Jennings and his family. ;) Thank you so much for sharing your talent with us!!!!!

This was a great story and you are a wonderful, imaginative writer. With young grandchildren you'll have your hands full but somehow I think you'll find some time to write too...it's in your blood!
Glad your husband is doing better and I hope all goes well for you and your family.
Good luck and God bless.

Like many others, I have read and enjoyed your story. You've done a great job of spinning a yarn that has captured the attention and admiration of many. I look forward to your future efforts. I wish you the best of luck and good fortune with your upcoming efforts. We all know you'll take great care of those kids!

Pac, thank you for sharing your wonderful story with us. I know you will enjoy those grandchildren. You will become young again as you play with them and love them. I helped my son raise his 2 daughters for 3 years and I couldn't love them more if I had birthed them myself. They still spend nights with us frequently. May God bless you and keep you strong. Thanks again for the story.

Thank you Pac for writing this great story. I read Evie's first story while you were writing it, and before I was a member that could post. Although I enjoyed the anticipation of waiting, being able to read all the way through without stopping was fun. No visits from Cliff.

I'm glad Stj made a comment that brought this story up from wherever it was hiding.

Dearest Pac. I had read the last 2 stories and some fine reader gave me the list of all the stories in order so I could go back and get caught up. It is kinda hard to know where the town and some of the actors are going but the stories still hold up very well. I REALLY appreciate all of your time and effort to create all of this for us. Thanks a whole lot.

Thank you all for the kind wishes and Mr. Pac and I wish you all a Merry Christmas.
If this story does anything;....I would ask that every one reading this, would step up
and help a neighbor. One you know, or one you don't. Just give a kindness in some small way.
Consider it a payback for all the stories and writers that have posted here.
I purposely put my story on the open thread, as I want to reach those people that read here
and urge them to find a strong sense of community. There is strength in numbers.

And over 3 years later your message is still being heard. Thank you, Pac
