A couple of the install. It's not quite finished, as I still have to add the trim pieces around the bottom and sides.

First pic is the old (broken) unit. Next two are the new one.

Good job! Love the stainless look in there.

As far as the window-- duct tape until you have the money. LOL I love duct tape. I would marry duct tape if hubby didn't mind. :D

duct tape WILL NOT HOLD. Unfortunately, as part of my research into this, I've spoken to multiple RV service people. Sorry, but these windows weigh several hundred pounds each. And considering what's at stake (if one "blows out", it might "blow in" again, right into you), I choose not to scrimp with safety. Can't "redneck repair" it this time.


ETA: I didn't get the new one based on its appearance. I got it because it most closely matched the physical dimensions of the original unit. The next-closest match was a white "Deco-style" one.

That window job looks like a dog-shit repair the former owner did himself - and you said he was an idiot. It definitely looks like it was attacked by a dumbass.
