Pudding like Dessert from Washington St.

My sister was recentely telling me that, 15-18 years ago when they went to Washington St. regularly, they used to have a dessert that my B-I-L's StepMother used to make. She says it was unlike anything they had ever tasted before and doesn't remember the name of it. I don't remember all she said about it but was wondering if anyone from around Seattle could tell me what this might be I could find it for her. As I recall she said it was kind of pudding like and they liked the lime flavor best.

I wonder if it is the Layered Pudding Dessert--it was popular for potluck about 18 years ago:

Step 1: Combine half a cup of butter with one cup of flour and 1 cup of chopped walnuts or almonds. Press into the bottom of a buttered glass 9x 13 pan and bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes and cool.

Step 2: Combine 8 oz cream cheese with 1 cup powdered sugar. Add 1 cup Cool Whip (think I used whipped cream). Spread this over the cooled crust.

Step 3: Mix your choice of instant pudding (my kids liked pistachio best) with 3 cups of milk. When thick pour this over the cream cheese layer.

Step 4: Put the rest of the cool whip or whipped cream on top for another layer. You can stop there and refrigerate over night or add a topping. Example: if you used pistachio pudding sprinkle pistachios on top of the cool whip or whipped cream; if you used vanilla pudding you could put strawberries on top, if you used chocolate pudding, cheeries ......

Oooohhhh I remember that dessert, I bet my kids would love it.
As for my sister I'm not sure but I'll ask her. I had the impression it was just pudding like without any fluff - n - stuff, I should have made that clear.
