Restoring 1976 Chevy C-10 Pickup

I've just bought a 1976 Chevy C-10 truck and want to restore the body, it has... not a LOT of rust but some pretty bad rust on the front of the hood and the bottom of the doors. The interior is in good shape. My question is, do any of you folks have any links to sites that give "how to" info for body restoration, or any personal insights that might get me started. If so please tell me. Thanks in advance,
Lon

The good news is there is no lack of parts for a Generic Motors machine. Try JC Whitney's catalog for whole body parts, though they will be thinner gauge import parts. I think there are weld in patch panels for cab areas. Hood and Doors: Just remove and replace. Hey! This moght be a good time to enroll in the community college bodyshop classes....:D

Thanks Dieseltrooper! All info is gladly taken. If I do it myself, I'll probably be replacing more than repairing as it takes less expertise to turn a screw or bolt than it does to fill and sand, etc. But I'm just feeling the options. I bought the truck for basic transportation but the more I looked at it and thought about it I thought it would be an injustice not to restore it. Again, thanks for the info.

Dieseltrooper, you just gave me a GREAT idea! The Fairfield Career Center, a school close by, always needs cars or furniture or building projects, etc. to learn their respective craft on and it's free just for letting them work on whatever you have. I can see a free, or at least inexpensive restoration on the horizon!!!!! WOOOOOOOHOOOO!!!!!!!!:D
Thanks Again!

 I've taken individual evening classes in the past to get me up to speed on brakes, carb, and alignment.
I've always wanted to take one on bodywork and/or electrical, areas I'm weak in...
