SIGHING?

Maybe I should post this in UNEXPLAINED, but lately I have found myself just sighing. My mother was near me the other day when I was doing it and she asked, "What is WRONG?". Hmmm, I did not know what to say. Why am I all of the sudden sighing? Is it a sign that I am getting old, or am I starting to have a panic disorder? Anyone else exhibiting this "SIGHING"? I think I am getting old.

I might add..

If it is a sign of getting OLD, then why did my Mom even ASK about it? She should KNOW! Something is up here. I do hope that I am not starting to get the dreaded "PANIC DISORDER"! To be honest I am actually SIGHING three or four tiimes a day. Sometimes I even add a hmmmm after it. Has anyone else ever experienced this? I do not like it. I have been reading a lot of bad news lately. The dear child who disappeared..Jessica in Homasassa Fl. and the horrible murderer in witchita. But everyone else has been reading about these things also. My Mom included. I do have other things worrying me, but nothing drastic. Anyone have any ideas about this or has this been going on with anyone you know? Sighing?

I occasionally catch myself doing this. Typically I have some form of stress that I don't realize is affecting me. I usually let it out in "sighs" and "shakes of the head".

Maybe we have been reading this board too much! :)

A sigh is the bodies way of trying to relax, trying to "get a grip". I am almost 56, and I have sighed for years. My son is only 20 and he sighs more than I do. A sigh is good for you.

It can be a sign you aren't getting enough oxygen-some people hold their breathe while concentrating on something and find themselves sighing every few minutes to get a good gulp of air. Yawning does the same.

Thanks!

I think communicating about it helps. I sighed less today. You guys are great! Now when I sigh I will think about the great folks on this forum. And my sigh will become a smile! :)
