Just thought I'd share a new favorite channel - two young people (30-somethings?) move to Alaska and are establishing an off-grid homestead. There aren't so many videos that you can't catch up from the beginning:

She has a blog and a Facebook page, too, but I haven't explored those, yet. I wrote to her with a couple suggestions, and she wrote back. Very nice young woman.

I'm watching these in order, so just finished the late December, 2018 ones. Turns out they are only 28 & 30-years-old, so I'm very impressed with their skills. They apparently grew up together and have been officially together in some capacity for 13 years. They're the same age as my kids! They have not really explained where they learned how to do things other than they research online a lot.
