Jo has realized that the traveling lifestyle can be had for much less cost than most realize. With even a modest budget and plenty of foresight, just about anyone can live and exciting, adventurous life full of happiness and fulfillment. Join us as Bob catches up with her to discuss her 4x4 truck, slide in camper set-up, minimalism plus much more. What a delightful lady!

I have used campers and know a good many that have and still do. If your saying in an area that subject to freezing they are not the best thing for winter use and best to pull up everything and relocate south before winter sets in. Is a lifestyle many enjoy and it has some draw backs, one is finding a place that will allow you to stay there 24/7 for weeks or months on end, No state or county campground will let you do this and some parks charge big money just for a three day stay.
Maintenance and repairs will also cost you big money, so you must learn how to do most of it your self.

If your buying/ordering a new camper for this endeavor I suggest you ask about a snowbird and its made with a little more insulation than your standard camper and better attention to sealing all the seams, this will save some on AC and easier heating too.

I know of three city parks in northern Nebraska that have a three month time limit, leave for a week and come back for another three months, there are a few here in Central Iowa like this as well. Lots of construction/contractor types have those huge trailers living in these types of parks.

My brother has a trailer in a park that allows month to month leases to folks with RVs and pull alongs. A few have been set up there for years. Others come and go, either with the season or the jobs.

trouble with that limited timeframe space rental there's no incentive to do much with that space - the month to month or yearly rental gives an opportunity to put together a deck and some storage - decorate - get familiar with the area and decide on something more permanent ....
