Sun dried Papaya seeds for parasites

I was researching pinworm (got 'em/had 'em sigh) and other parasite infestations and ran across this. Thought I'd pass it on and ask if anyone here tried this?

Notes From the Field Ascaries, hookworm, whip worm, and pin worm can all be minimized by swallowing crushed sun dried papaya seeds. The adult dosage is one tablespoon of the seed powder in a glass of sugar water once a week for two weeks. The pediatric dose is one teaspoon of seed powder in a glass of water once a week for two weeks. The sugar water is only to make the bitter powder more palatable. Roberts has seen several villages in Africa reduce their helminthic infections by 33% using only papaya seeds as a treatment. Swallowing two tablespoons of fresh seeds prevents the worms from burrowing into the intestinal wall and is a preventive measure (Sohni, Kaimal, & Bhatt 1995; Tona, Kambu, Ngimbi, Cimanga, & Vlietinck, 1998). I have never read anything on the attributes of papaya seeds for worms. I have read much on Pumpkin seeds, black walnut hulls, garlic, wormwood (in very small amounts), oregon grape root in tincture form. Let us know if it works. Pin worms are from horses. Causes what is called "itchy butt". Have your horses been treated?

Thanx for the reply. I know you're pretty knowledgeable on this stuff, where I'm just a dabbler looking to learn as needed.

Not sure where I got 'em. We don't have horses, in fact most of the livestock here (cattle) have been gone since last summer. And ol dog passed over a year ago. So donno how I ended up with both pin and round. From what I read tho their eggs are hardy so I prolly tracked 'em in myself. And I'm not the greatest housekeeper/cleaner.

Amazing how the little suckers can ever so slowly drain your energy. Could be I've had 'em for a long while.

The 2wk Piperazine citrate seems to be working but if I get a recurrance I'll get some papaya seed and try it. Got lottsa dry sun here (100F+ this week sigh) and the papaya has lottsa seeds in 'em so making my own powder shouldn't be hard.
