Been getting all sorts of fancy mailings from Bloomberg. Complex paper constructions that must have cost a fortune to print.
He's still wasting his money, brings nothing to the table. I don't think he has any idea how many negatives he has hung around his neck in the Heartland....even for Democrats.

Bloomberg Using Fortune To "Fundamentally Alter & Manipulate US Politics"

by Tyler Durden
Fri, 02/14/2020 - 12:45

With Joe Biden's 2020 aspirations melting like a Nazi who just opened the Ark, moderate Democrats who won't vote for a socialist or are perhaps uncomfortable with 'non-binary' cabinet appointees are left with two choices; Pete Buttigieg or Michael Bloomberg.

And based on the most recent odds from PredictIt, it looks like the former New York mayor may have to dust off his standing box for a showdown with President Trump.

Friends, nominations, and other things money can buy

How did Bloomberg, with his cardboard charisma and 'Mr. Burns' mannerisms, stage such a sudden and meteoric rise in the polls? Aside from Biden's implosion leaving a giant moderate vacuum on the left, Bloomberg has been aggressively showering anyone within arm's reach with buckets and buckets of money - so much that President Trump warned there would be revolution in the Democrat party if Bloomberg won the nomination.

"If a guy came in and bought the election, if he bought the Democratic nomination, I really think that you’d have a revolution within the Democrat party," Trump told Giraldo Rivera on Thursday.

Explaining how Bloomberg is "using his fortune to fundamentally alter & manipulate U.S. politics to his personal advantage extends way beyond ads" is journalist Blake Zeff, who has "worked against" Bloomberg, "covered him as a journalist & worked with his top aides."

Here's the playbook:

Let’s start with endorsements. Background: Bloomberg was a GOP mayor & Rudy Giuliani ally, whose police stopped innocent black men so often his tactics were ruled unconstitutional. So how did he possibly get key Democratic endorsements in NYC? Here’s one way

But come on, it’s not like he can do that in *this* campaign. Sure he’s compiling a ton of random endorsements nationwide despite merely being a former mayor. But that’s because they loved his soda ban. Or his speaking style. Or...

You may also see “community groups” back Mike's candidacy. As mayor, non-profits supported him when he reversed a voter referendum on term limits & made a backroom deal to help himself get a 3rd term. How’d that happen, you ask? He applied himself.

Forget endorsements: This campaign has grassroots support! Mike held events in various states recently & got huge crowds. They were clearly inspired by that “Mike Will Get It Done” energy. But *this* probably didn’t hurt, either...

Then there’s staff. Mike poaches talent away from other campaigns, by giving folks huge salaries & perks (catered meals, etc). His money also lets him hire more staff than all his opponents combined, while grassroots campaigns have to run on $18 checks from G’ma Millie. 8/17

Mike's wealth even affects his rivals’ fundraising. Using his relationships with other rich donors, he’s personally asking them to sit the election out, so his rivals can't raise cash. Because having $61b to spend, versus $20mil for the other Dems, is too close for comfort 9/17

Let’s be honest: Ads also enable Mike to mislead voters without being corrected. One ad portrays him as Obama’s BFF, even though Mike didn’t back him in '08 & barely did in '12, when he scolded Obama for being partisan, divisive & populist. But few will see this pushback

The issue’s not just that Mike’s ads help him “get his story out more.” It’s that they enable him to *craft* whatever story he wants, blast it to every voter 1000 times, & bypass the media. And if the story takes creative licenses, oh well. How will viewers ever find out? 13/17

One reason it all works so well is that Mike & the team he was able to acquire, are smart. Other rich candidates have failed. But Mike's team has a combo that's rare - maybe even unprecedented - in U.S. politics: unlimited money, elite intelligence & Machiavellian ethics. 14/17
Blake Zeff

@blakezeff

For example, they know Mike has real vulnerabilities in the primary on issues & his GOP past. But they also know Dems hate Trump. So, that’s where the campaign turns all its focus. This achieves several things. First, makes him seem “above” the internal primary bickering. 15/17

Also: Positions him as a general election candidate now, evades discussion of Dem primary issues where his record is toxic, & presents one of biggest GOP donors ever (Mike) as a loyal Dem who just wants to see Trump (his old golf pal) lose. So far, voters are lapping it up. 16/17
Blake Zeff

@blakezeff

3 months ago, polls found Mike Bloomberg “widely disliked” with the highest negatives in the race. Now he’s a top 3 contender for the Democratic nomination. One of the richest humans ever is trying to upend every part of the process. And this is just the stuff we know about. /END

No wonder Trump has been on the offense against 'mini Mike.'

Double_A

TB Fanatic
Just in the last two weeks I heard a radio interview of Oakland, California mayor Libby Schaf (sp) praising Bloomberg for the financial assistance he has provided.

Bloomberg is a wealthy financially/politically connected puppet for his globalist masters - who are THEY? Are Bloomberg and Team Trump working some kind of obtuse "split-the-Democrat-vote" (ala Perot 1992) strategy, here? I smell big-money globalists behind it all - possibly, Bloomberg and Team Trump are playing for the same internationalist masters in a Hegelian dialectic squeeze play foisted upon the Democrat voting base.

NOTHING in national politics "happens" by chance, and the seeming obvious danger that Bloomberg poses to the Democrats is no exception to that rule.

Team Trump 2020 seems to be a shoo-in to most observers. Is Bloomberg some sort of insurance policy to that effect?

What is of interest is that within the last 3 or 4 weeks, at least here in California, Bloomberg and Steyer have both changed their approach and message to the public. No more extreme statements or wild election promises. They seem to be presenting issues with resonance to all citizens and are positioning themselves as reasonable, caring men here to fix the problems of the current administration. Quite a shift from before. And I would say appears to be effective. That Trump's campaign people are noticing is not a surprise.

It's who gave money to Bloomborg.

The Chinese bought him lock stock and barrel.

Been going on in American politics for a long time - just kept in the shadows between players and the wealthy - today, J6P can actually witness it while it is occurring, in all of its raw power glory - past under-the-table deals have always been the norm, and are nothing new.

Bloomberg and Soros both know that they nearing the end of their lives.
They have acquired far more wealth that ever can be possibly be spent on themselves.

So the sole remaining emotion/goal left to them is their unquenchable thirst for power.

They want to be remembered, and honored, for advancing their "ethnic group."

1990 Bloomberg L.P. Employees Created A Book Of His Offensive Quotes (Embedded)
Warning: Strong Language
by Jeff Dunetz | Feb 16, 2020 |

1581928272910.png

"On February 14th, 1990 for Michael Bloomberg’s 48th birthday, staffers at Bloomberg L.P celebrated their boss’ most famous offensive quips and anecdotes by creating a pamphlet and presenting him with a leather-bound copy. Some of the quotes are anti-female, anti-faith, and someone who looks down upon people who aren’t like him. Called The Portable Bloomberg: The Wit and Wisdom of Michael Bloomberg, it was edited by Bloomberg L.P.’s chief marketing officer Elisabeth DeMarse. Some of the tidbits in the pamphlet include:

  • The only liberal I trust is a rich old liberal. Why? Because they’re old enough to understand what they’re saying, and they’re rich enough to pay for what they say!
  • If women wanted to be appreciated for their brains, they’d go to the library instead of to Bloomingdale’s.
  • The three biggest lies are: The check’s in the mail, I’ll respect you in the morning, and I’m glad that I’m Jewish.
  • If Jesus was a Jew, why does he have a Puerto Rican first name?
At the beginning of the book DeMarse wrote “Editor’s Note” that reads, “Yes, these are all actual quotes. No, nothing had been embellished or exaggerated. And yes, some things were too outrageous to include. When I joined BLOOMBERG Financial Markets, I wondered if I had inadvertently joined a religious sect, such was the dedication of the employees to its founder, and their enthusiasm for the company. Today, I’m a convert. And when we rent Madison Square Garden for mass nuptials, I’ll be there.”

Michael Wolff interviewed Ms. DeMarse in 2001 for New York Magazine:

“This is Bloomberg culture,” she said. “You have to understand, Mike is very uncensored.” After a second, she went on: “When Mike says outrageous things, it’s sort of a test. It’s a loyalty test. It’s a bonding thing when everyone laughs. You stop thinking that it might be inappropriate.”

“Is all of this a direct quote, Wolff asked, these are his actual words?”

“Yes.”

Here are some more Bloombergisms:

  • [Marriage] Sex with someone you love… is sex with someone you love. The plusses are you don’t have to buy dinner and the only thing you catch with callouses,” and “Whenever my wife catches me eyeing some broad, she’s very careful to turn to me and say, ‘That’s the most expensive piece of arse in the world!
  • It [Bloomberg L.P[ will do everything, including give you a blow job. I guess that puts a lot of you girls out of business.
  • I believe in the capitalist system and free enterprise. The only exception is 8th Avenue, where people pay for what they could get for free [hookers].
  • There are three types of favorite restaurants: Where would you go if you had to eat there forever – I’d say ’21’. Then, where would you go for your last meal – Le Cygne. Then, there’s where you would take your wife for your last meal – McDonald’s
  • Make the customer think he’s getting laid when he’s getting fu**ed.
  • There are certain states you don’t go to.
Michael Bloomberg’s recent statements show him to be a racist, but his booklet, embedded below shows him to be an arrogant misogynist who doesn’t like liberalism or faith. Bloomberg is the new Democratic Party’s great “moderate” hope. In other words, they are in greater trouble than most commentators think."

Mini Mike is the money behind .. what has been happening in Virginia.
His money has bought all this gun control legislation here and the democratic control of the state house and Senate and House of Delegates. This what you get if they control it all.

I did get an email from VCDL today that the weapons and magazine ban did not get out of the Senate committee. So it has been shelved for a year. We won the big one.

We still must fight and VOTE...and have a huge lobby day next year. They will cram some really bad bills down our throats...but the we defeated the one that would have made instant felons of thousands of Virginians.

If we work hard enough maybe we can defeat them at the state level in 2021 and reverse their bad gun bills. I have heard from some long time Democrats that they are switching sides and will never votes for them again. Fingers crossed we can reclaim Virginia.

If mini Mike becomes president he will push this on the whole country.
BEWARE.

Another Verbal Oops: Michael Bloomberg Has Said That Teachers Unions Are Extremists Like The NRA

Mike Bloomberg speaks to the media, Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2019 in Phoenix. Billionaire Michael Bloomberg, a late entrant in the already crowded race for the Democratic presidential nomination, was set Tuesday to file to run in Arizona’s presidential primary. (AP Photo/Rick Scuteri)
Former Mayor Michael Bloomberg and his prior comments are on a ROLL and it is a ton of fun to watch and listen too. This guy is a treasure trove of hits.
Bloomberg back in 2013, while he was still Mayor of New York City, defended his controversial policy of stop and frisk but also called teachers unions and civil libertarian groups “extremists” just like the NRA.
Ouch.

From Politico
Michael Bloomberg has made it his late life’s mission to take on the National Rifle Association, calling the organization “shameful,” “dangerous” and extreme.
The problem now that he’s seeking the Democratic nomination? In his final year as New York mayor, Bloomberg compared two groups core to the Democratic base — a local faction of the American Civil Liberties Union and the New York City teachers union — to the NRA.
“We don’t need extremists on the left or the right running our police department, whether it’s the NRA or the NYCLU,” the then-mayor Bloomberg said of the New York Civil Liberties Union, in a 2013 speech in which he defended the city’s controversial stop-and-frisk policy.
Yeah, Mike, defending people’s rights and protecting one’s ability to defend themselves is so extreme. How did this guy ever get this wacky rich is a Lifetime movie begging to be made.
This is only the beginning of the onslaught of questionable things that Bloomberg has said that have become public. Now that he is rising in the polls the might of the Democrats machine will turn the fire on him. His 12 years as Mayor and all the stuff he has done since and before will be examined with a fine-tooth comb.
The interesting part to watch will be if the massive amount of money that Bloomberg has said he will spend in this election will be enough to fight off this public relations nightmare he has created over the past two decades.
Ticking off both groups like the ACLU and teachers unions which are both strong Democrat support bases with these comments means more apologies will need to be issued.
Will it be enough?
We will find out in about 3 months!!

I have just about stopped watching youtube due to the constant Bloomburger ads...
You should install the Firefox browser, along with a good set of hand-tweaked, free, blocker plug-ins - eliminates ALL of the ads, leaving nothing but the YouTube you wish to watch.

It really doesn't matter who the Dems run....TRUMP is going to wipe them out come election day.
But, its obvious that bloomberg is an absolute asshole and TRUMP will use his jerkwad historical rhetoric against him if he somehow wins the Dem nomination.
