I think taking close ups like these has become one of my favorite things in photography. Capturing the beauty of God's creation is always refreshing....it kind of keeps life in perspective for me.

Indeed, color is everything. And in the dead of winter when everything is dormant and the sky is grey and the landscape white and I am weary of shoveling snow and being cold, I can put one of my photos of spring flowers on my desktop as a screensaver and it totally takes the drearies of winter away. :)
