This is a staging area for a run at the border. I'm told that there is an abandoned house/structure just beyond the tressle.
Station 9, the furthest outpost (see http://www.timebomb2000.com/vb/showthread.php?t=145801 ) wasn't manned till Sunday at about 5:30 when the first volunteers got there. I tagged along and decided to stay.
About 5:00 or so, 12 decided to make a run for it where #9 would be - they came from these trees.
By the time we got there, 5 had continued their run north and the other 7 had returned to Mexico. From then until well after sunset, there was activity in the hills behind us as the border agents hunted the Mexicans. They could not confirm or deny how many were apprehended.
