Tomato soup spice cake

This is a very good spice cake, been eating this for 50 yrs. & was my mothers before me. Great with white butter cream iceing. Bake 350 , 30 min or til done

1/2 c. marg. or butter
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 can tomato soup/add
1 teasp. baking soda while still in the can
1/2 tesp cloves
1 teasp cininamon
1/2 teasp nutmeg
1 & 1/2 to 1 & 3/4 c. flour
1 teasp baking powder

ceam butter & sugar, then add egg. mix. add tomato soup & soda mixture. then remaining ingredients.
