I am in zone 8
I just planted one row of onions (probably close to150- 200)---a little later than I wanted but that was when I got the sets
One bunch of Southern Belle Reds and one bunch of Candy
I have more ordered but they will not ship until early Jan--they are Patterson
just curious to see if yall are still at it
I am probably done planting until Jan--more onions and some bare root fruit trees

I have been. Actually working on getting some Radishes and Beets to sprout inside. Lettuce, Cilantro and such is looking good. More onions going in, garlic last week and some plants that need to overwinter to sprout in Spring.

I had some lettuce growing (cut and come again varieties) I had 2 boxes like the photo. The last harvest the other day was starting to taste a bit bitter so I replanted one box. I also have a small container with beets which is a first for me….

Selecting homegrown small potatoes and onions from the basement today to use on Thanksgiving in the roasted veggie dish. Cold outside at 24 degrees.

what about iceberg lettuce

just kidding --it will be spring for you in what ? maybe 6 months
actually the longer growing season is one of the reasons I stayed in GA vs north central AR

Yeah, the growing season is from June until the end of August.
Ive had very good success growing potatoes, so far blue potatoes, yukons, and a few reds. Blue potatoes are by far the best tasting ever!

I really like the blue potatoes
I enjoy using them in dishes that I take to gatherings and watch the people hesitate about eating them
but then I am easily amused
