…… Wood price question

I am going to start to cut some trees down in my wood lot for a few reasons.
1) I need to let some season out for my firewood needs
2) I need to open more graze space for my sheep
3) I want to relieve some of the wildfire potential
4) I have standing dead that needs to come down before it falls
5) I need to sell some so I can buy hay.

So my question is this...What would be a reasonable price for 8 12' logs sold as firewood? Diameter average is 10". Mostly green, but some standing dead. I can also do bundles of similar diameter logs at different prices. I just need to know what would be a good starting point where I don't overprice, or underprice, myself and can't sell any.

These are pine trees. Please don’t jump on me about pine being less than desirable for fire wood. I do know that. However the only two types of native trees are pine and cedar and it’s what everyone burns here. There are no native hardwoods

Thank you for your help!

It varies greatly but I think that log length prices are roughly a third of what cut and split would be. Check places like Craigslist and Facebook Marketplace to see what other people are selling it for. 8 12 ft logs 10" in dia is a little less than a half cord for figuring purposes.

It varies all over the country.
By me, a full cord(24X4) of Oak, cut & split & seasoned is $1,200 or so.
First time in 10 years, I have a driveway full of wood I picked up to process. I need to replace the seals on the ram for my splitter. It leaks a lot! It looks pretty easy to do.
