Three days from now they'll need two hospitals. Three days later they'll need nine. Three days later they'll need thirty. Three days later they'll need a couple hundred. Everything's just ducky.

I don't know how it's going to pan out, but the single hospital sounds like more to calm the masses than to solve the problem.

My nice went to China while in med school. She said the medical waste was just dumped in a trash pile next to the hospital which included radiological and infectious waste- a disaster waiting to happen.

I would expect those hospitals to of the military tent hospitals variety. Where, for the most part all you need is flat earth. So if things go really bad, and everyone is quarantined road beds will work just fine.

I expect that if the rat soup was the vector, it was because the bats weren't thoroughly cooked enough. There's a fine line between cooking properly something with that little meat and making it into a little winged hockey puck. I expect the "chef" (blech) undercooked them to avoid burning them.

If funeral pyres come to pass, certainly they'd go cajun-style on 'em...

Link says its a woman, in her 60s and from Chicago, came in through O’Hare International Airport from China on Jan. 13, hospitalized in isolation and reported to be well and in stable condition.

Lets keep some perspective here folks.

I have a request for info from any members in proximity to Aspen, Vail, Steamboat Springs, etc.....take a look at the airports next time you drive by. Immediately after Fukushima went sideways, the small airports were bursting at the seams with private jets in both Aspen and Vail. I used to shop at the Costco next to Eagle/Vail every pay day for years..the volume was very unusual and noticeable. Also, it was the muddy season...nobody vacations or holds big events in mountain ski towns in the muddy season.

That will be a good indicator for the seriousness of this one in the next week or so.

leads one to believe that the virus was built to target Asians. Perhaps as a solution to China's problem with sick and old and their healthcare crisis. What a boon it would be for China to reduce the population by 500 million of the weakest members of their society.
Would explain why no one is worried about "risk to NYC residents".

Disposable income would soar. They could them teach everyone to "code"

As mentioned by another poster, I'm agreeing with "a big mass grave dug with a lot of dozers". That is not hospital construction I see in that pic. It took one dozer nine days to make my home septic system. I am not a sheep and I ain't blind. I pray that the people of China wake up.

And that is why some of us are alarmed. Not yet flaming hair, but definitely wigged out a bit.

The numbers from China regarding the number sick and the number dead do not match the level of response they are exhibiting with the lockdowns, and this weird-ass "hospital" they say they are building. Lump in the videos showing people passing out cold, doctors seemingly infected and panicked, and the general chaos, it's not a picture of something minor.
