While RT might be "suspect" in some reporting, I doubt they would just pull this one out of their butts:

Atlanta hospital to treat 3rd US health worker for possible Ebola virus

Another US healthcare worker is being transferred to Emory University Hospital in Atlanta after possibly being exposed to the Ebola virus while working in West Africa, a hospital spokeswoman announced. The unnamed person will be monitored for signs of the virus. No other information was offered to the press, due to confidentiality concerns. Emory treated the first two Americans who were infected with Ebola while working in West Africa.

Sounds like they're going to be under observation in Atlanta, but that by itself is suspect. No symptoms mentioned, but why else would they be transferring them?

Because with 1,400 on the US watchlist the country is on the precipice of Phase III which is where it gets brutal in our nation. They can not cover this up much longer.

What has CIDRAP or MEDINTEL said????

I follow both of them on Twitter and there is no mention in my TL from either of them.

Yet.

I'd take RT with about half a truck load of road salt.

99% of the time, I would agree with you as I stated above. Buy why make something up about 1 patient going to Emory again? No logic in that....

I didn't post it earlier when I saw it, but here is a non-RT report I saw.

That's probably where RT got it then...

The RT article says Emory has only treated 2 for Ebola and MSM has only report those 2 as well. What's the local station know that the rest of us don't.

They treated more than two.

Brantly and the woman; nurse Vinson and another person, so at least four.

here, this article says "successfully" treated four.

Emory to monitor patient with possible Ebola virus

ATLANTA, Ga. —

Emory University Hospital announced it will be monitoring a possible Ebola patient.

"An American health care worker from West Africa who may have been exposed to the Ebola virus is being transferred to Emory University Hospital’s Serious Communicable Diseases Unit for monitoring and observation to see if an infection has been acquired," Emory University Hospital officials said in a statment.

They said they did not have an exact time of arrival. According to Emory, it cannot release further details out of "respect for patient privacy in accordance with the patient’s wishes."

Emory is one of 35 U.S. hospitals designated as Ebola treatment centers, as named by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Emory has successfully treated several patients with the deadly virus, the latest being nurse Amber Vinson, who was released from the hospital Oct. 28, 2014.

Vinson was the second Dallas health care worker who contracted the deadly virus after treating a Liberian man, Thomas Eric Duncan, who died of Ebola in Texas in October.

Emory University Hospital has now successfully treated four Ebola patients.

West Africa is suffering the worst Ebola outbreak in history, with more than 17,100 illnesses and at least 6,000 deaths this year. Six of those treated in the U.S. were Americans infected while providing medical aid there.

We'll have the latest on the Channel 2 Action News Nightbeat at 11 and here on WSBTV.com.

Johngaltfl....if you have discussed your graph on another thread, could you kindly provide a link? I'm interested in your thoughts behind each phase and why you think we are where you think we are. You may have discussed this in a previous thread, and I am sorry if I missed it.... Been out of pocket on the Ebola threads for a bit. Thank you very mich

Has No Life - Lives on TB
We had/have two health care workers on home quarantine in Asheville. There was one blurb about it when one said they were being treated as criminals. Haven't heard or read another word. This was about two weeks ago so even our smallish town is complying with the Ebola blackout.

I was going to question that this was only the third patient at Emory. Just bumping this, because there's a lot going on right now... and we shouldn't let this story get too far ahead of us.

I explained already, but here is a breakdown of those already treated and released.

Kenneth Brantley (1st US patient transfer)
Nancy Writebol (2nd)
WHO worker (#3 remained a mystery until released in Sept? )
Amber Vinson (Dallas nurse was #4)

the new person will be #5
