Limited medical services

Only three hospitals in Cd. Juarez, Chihuahua, all of them public, will accept and treat gunshot victims, due to the dangers they represent to the medical staff trying to save the victims’ lives. The risk comes from hit men who often seek to complete their mission inside the hospital. During 2008 and up to the present, at least 10 such attacks have been carried out on people being treated for bullet wounds. [The initial reader comment to this story follows; others were in agreement.] ”This seems to me one of the harshest indicators of the stratospheric levels of insecurity that has been reached in Mexico.”
