Visas aren't so unusual for travel to other countries, but the biometric scanning is really ramping up. I just got back from my European trip, and every port of entry everywhere, for boarding transport I've been scanned, sometimes more than once for each entry. It's part of the deal I suppose, there's no getting around it. If you have a passport, they already have your biometrics anyway. Here, have another... lol
