Antifa Group to March With Pro-Gun Protesters at Virginia Rally

An annual 2nd Amendment rally in Richmond, Va. scheduled for this Monday will see gun rights activists marching alonside an unusual ally: the local Antifa chapter.

While Antifa groups are most famous for sometimes-violent protests against right-wing groups, the Richmond-based Antifa Seven Hills is joining 2nd Amendment supporters in support of gun rights.

Several leftist gun rights groups have formed in response to the election of President Trump. This includes Redneck Revolt, which was established in 2016, and the Socialist Rifle Association, which was formed in 2018 and has chapters in all 50 states.

“I think what’s particular about the South is that we have to be a bit more creative and sensitive to the people around us — instead of fulfilling some sort of meme of what antifa is,” James said. “That’s really what we’re trying to work against right now, especially by talking to conservatives and showing we aren’t just a black-clad group of rabble-rousers who are out for attention and have jobs funded by George Soros.”

“The presence of an armed left is not discussed, it’s not understood,” he added.

The rally itself became the subject of controversy after Virginia Governor Ralph Northam declared a state of emergency citing “credible intelligence” of “groups with malicious plans” to appear at the rally. The FBI on Thursday arrested three suspected neo-Nazis who were planning to attend the rally. One of the men is a former Canadian army reservist, and all were linked to a group called The Base that aims to establish a state populated only by whites.

“No one wants another incident like the one we saw in Charlottesville,” Northam told reporters. “We will not allow that mayhem and violence to happen here.

If the kluckers and other white power groups aren't allowed, these should be dis-invited as well.
A terrorist by any other name. And a domestic enemy to boot. Just there to pick up their own intel.
The "left" is a phrase that when translated means domestic enemy.

If the Right and Left, at the street level, are standing up together in protest of a tyrannical government then there might be a glimmer of hope left for the FUSA.

Don't lie to yourself with foolish thought, just sit back and wait for the tipping point.

When the aims and goals of the guvna of VA and the antifa thugs are pretty much running concurrent, I'd say be wary. They are a foil to get us to hesitate, to try discourse again. To disarm in the holy name of politeness.

Don't fall for it. Somebody tell Claire it's past time.

If Antifa is true to their statements, then take the masks off and march for freedom....

Probably not....

Sometimes I wonder if Americans are just looking for fight here on home turf. Sooooo many people, soooo many groups just itching for a mix up. Things are just getting crazy and down right silly. People don't even know what they really believe but want to believe in something, anything and they want to fight about it.

Don't like guns...don't own one. Don't like meat....don't eat meat. Want to be gay....go be gay. Whatever. Just keep your shitte to yourself and get on with your life.

I do believe what we're seeing is what's called insanity.

The governor has had a fence erected around the capitol grounds with one entrance with medal detector. This where the speakers will be. They are listed on the VCDL.org website.

Another area has the VCLD with sign up clip boards to go to various elected officials offices to lobby them . This why it is called lobby day. No marching for us!

Must be more take news.

Seems the left and the right do not want to be disarmed. Great opportunity to educate the left on why smaller government makes good sense. Does not mean everyone is gonna sing kum by ya but maybe, just maybe, we can agree on a smaller government and continue the ideological battles in other arenas.

Completely divergent goals.

MLK day.

What could go wrong??
I know right?

MLK day and all these "white supremacy" groups all in the same place at the same time. ...

Anyone here ever lived in Richmond Virginia??? I lived there for seven looooonnnngggg years. The city itself f***ked up as a football bat to begin with. Richmond isn't very big and is all squished up together. It's craziness to think that a town that takes five hours to empty out after a NASCAR race, has its collective shit together in any capacity.

Anyone know what the panthers are up to this weekend?

The area claimed as "prohibited" to pro-gun rallies is much, much larger than I realized.

Insert standard pic of Admiral Akbar saying, "Its a TRAP!!!"

Agreed it's hard to figure any other plausible explanation for this improbable event.
The only one I've come up with is some of the more astute Antifa people are trying to increase how well they're accepted among noncriminals/nonskyscreamers, the way the queers for years tried to look otherwise normal.

That is a set-up for a false flag if I ever seen one. And one guess who the governor and antigun crowd would blame for violence.

My first thought as well. It has to be considered that Antifa may be a plant. They (get paid to?) take it to the next level, violence escalates, the pro-2nd amendment crowd gets blamed, the anti-gun folks have more ammunition to use, MSM stokes the flames. Mission accomplished (?).

Let’s say hypothetically they really did come to march “alongside” 2nd amendment supporters, the minute they see a MAGA hat they’ll get triggered and start a riot. A recipe for disaster especially if either side is armed. Madness.

I'm sorry people if you are surprised, but the Bill of Rights was supposed to be the minimum we could all agree on.

Antifa only pretends to support the 2nd amendment until they can sufficiently arm themselves to kill us off. If they finally reach the stage they have killed us all off they will burn the Bill of Rights and usher in the new age of tyranny. In other words, this whole thing is a red herring.

Nothing would surprise me at this point. Far too many stupid, gullible, ignorant, evil foul tempered people out there just looking for any reason to be pissed off and get into a fight. What's really scary is there are 'people' out there in the shadows that really do want to destroy this country, culture, Christianity, etc., etc., etc., anything that has the faintest hint of freedom and individuality and they pulling strings on these dumbarses just to destroy everything we've built in this country.

I guess when you're Top Dog on the planet EVERYONE wants to watch you fail, even if it takes them down with you.

We (the United States of America) really could be that City on the Hill, setting the example of Freedom and liberty for all....if we could just get rid of the egotistical, self-centered, selfish, greedy, evil power elite bastards out of the system and boot their collective arses out of the country....never to return. So much potential.....being attacked by soooo much evil.

I was going to point that out but was in a very rare, "I don't feel like being an ass" mood last night...

:D

Somewhere along the line, I had forgotten about this fable...

The Scorpion and the Tortoise...

"Are you not the most wicked and ungrateful of reptiles(Antifa)? But for me you must either have given up your journey, or have been drowned in that stream, and what is my reward? If it had not been for the armor which God has given me, I should have been stung to death." "Blame me not," said the scorpion(Antifa), in a supplicatory tone, "it is not my fault; it is that of my nature; it is a constitutional habit I have of stinging."

It is okay. Happens to us all at one time or another.

Takes a big person to admit it.

Wishful thinking may skew all our perspectives in the near future. :)
